What is the original, base size of an average fairy? For example, the size one would be if he/she never used size changing magic.

It seems a fairy doesn't have a true size. Whatever size she is at the moment is her true size.

Funny thing is, in theory, if a fairy were born without the ability to size shift, they would be stuck in exactly the size they were born in... As they essentially don't grow as they develop.

Assuming an adult fairy has a range of about 4cm to 15 meters. Assuming linear scale, about 7.5meters (or about 24 ft 8 in). Assuming a logarithmic scale, about 77.5cm (about 2 ft 6 in).

If they don't grow, that what about the time before they even learned of magic in the first place? Without some type of natural growth, they would be babies in body for their whole life.

Natural logic doesn't really apply to Fae unless they want it to.

Fairies grow from infant to adults as normal. But the size they're born as is determined by and only by whatever size the mother was while giving birth. If a mother was eighty feet high while giving birth, her baby would be relatively scaled to that. IE: BIG baby.

Fairies are in a constant state of shifting size. There is no base size, only the size they want to be at a given moment.

in addition fairy's are creatures of magic... they would die without it, and can use it as easy as they breath form day one.... controlling it properly comes from practice though.
