Trek through the whispers

Ha'dara sat down, having finally found the remaining fruit in the area "Well, I don't really have much experience with Fairies. Besides knowing their reputation." He sat down with some of the fruit "Who's your new friend, by the way?"

"Hmmm...." said Khrixi. "I would, but it looks like they're hiding in that metal ball. And there's a big naga there too, which complicates things...let me see..." She suddenly snapped her fingers.

"Oh...I've got it...we'll barely have to do any work at all. The forest is my friend, so this will be easy."

She placed her hands on the ground and closed her eyes, breathing deeply. There were slight tremors only she could feel as the roots of the tree moved under the ground, shifted slowly under the clearing.

"I'll wait till the Jotun's gone..." she said "And then the roots will grab the whole thing and pull it back underground. The naga won't even notice. Then we can dine at our leisure."

Fenja yawned, then sniffed the air. All this running around had made her hungry.

"Well, we'll talk more when I come back. I'm just going to go find something to eat."

She walked off, trying to find appropriate food. Her sense of smell had an enormous range, greater than anyone could have guess. It wasn't a matter of finding food - it was just how far she was willing to walk and finding the right type. She stuck mostly to eating females, so a group of elves or nekos was most likely, they being usually female as opposed to humans. But who knows, maybe a group of dumb human girls would be wandering around. It had happened before.

"Ok." Ha'dara said casualy as he picked up the Travel Sphere and started taking a much closer look at it, not having had a chance to really see it properly before. Turning it around horizontaly, he noticed how old it looked from up close "Doesn't really look like much from close up. Just shows how decieving appearance can be, I guess."

(Me and schoolhater posted at the same time, I don't know how to move mine down a place.)

Cherry looked around the sphere smiling "wow this place is awesome"she says using her camera to take photo's she then turned to grip taking his photo with a smile on her face.

Clover smiled watching fenja leave the area and the sphere unguarded "khrixi your a genious now the jotuns gone so go ahead lets grab the food and be off before she comes back"

"Dang..." said Khrixi. "That naga is holding the damn thing. You have any illusion spells you could distract him with? I need him to put it down and preferably look away..."

"I thought you only needed pictures of predators." said Grip dryly. He paused. "Hey, do you think I could see that? I want to see how I look." he said.

Fenja walked off through the jungle happily. dissecting the sea of smells. She then noticed something interesting - a group of girls - but from the looks of it, not of just one race. They didn't appear to be moving at all. She would have thought that the elf they had with them would have been smarter than that. She began to move off in that direction.

Cherry scowled "you don't get out much do you?"she says handing the camera to grip smiling "anyway you may have a look at the photo's i guess you have been nicer to me than fenja has"

Clover smiled "nope but i got this follow my lead"she says growing to giant size before she ran forward past ha'dara and as she went passed him she snatched the sphere from his hands then turned running back to khrixi smiling and holding the sphere triumphantly in her hand.

"Alright!" said Khrixi. She saw Ha'dara, turning around. "Quick! Make a break for it!" Suddenly, a mass of roots burst from the ground. They enveloped the Sphere and dragged it into the soil, covering it up behind it. The fairies shrunk and darted off, leaving the area entirely empty.

Grip looked at his picture. These camera things were rather strange. He pressed a button and he found a picture of his Sphere. He realized that this must be going back through previous pictures. He was curious and pressed it some more. He started when he found the pictures Khrixi had taken of Cherry and Clover.

"Er...you might want to...delete these ones..." he said. Unless she intended to start selling pornography, that is.

Suddenly, the Shere jolted. Grip held his chair, looking out, trying to figure out where they were going. Suddenly they were plunging and then it went completly dark. There was a creaking scratching noise and he felt the Sphere shudder and jolt. It was moving...somehow...he flicked on the lights in front and saw they were in a tunnel, moving backwards rapidly. The Sphere looked to be entangled in some massive roots.

"Shit!" he swore, moving to the controls and trying to figure a way to get out of this.

Fenja stood, a bit confused. They should be here...suddenly she heard something. She ducked, narrowly missing a massive log held by vines swinging into her head. She caught a brief glimpse and smacked the tree beside her. She grinned as she saw two humans, a neko and an elf tumbling out of the foliage and dangle on a branch. They were all wearing furs and had dropped spears.

"Amazons?" she said, smiling. "Nice try. Well, least I get some fun now." She plucked them off the branch.

"You don't scare us!" said the elf, who seemed to be the oldest. Her companions seemed to be having difficulty sharing that attitude.

Cherry screamed trying to gain balance she eventualy managed and realised that it must already be too late for them as they were rapily moving through a tunnel she glanced at the photo's smiling "oh no those are realy good thhey should fetch a great price but for now i'm more worried about were we are going"

Clover smiled "nice one khrixi"she says flying alongside her "how long until we can eat?"

Shanna stumbled as the sphere shook beneath her feet. Getting to her knees, she glanced out the window, and swore in a strange tongue when she saw the roots covering the view windows. It seemed similar to the way the plants attacked her in Khrixi’s place. “Those damned fairies,” Shanna grumbled, drawing her sword. “Cherry, stay close. If they can get in here, we’re going to have a fight on our hands. Grip, if you have any sort of weapons on board this thing, now’s the time to get them. Cherry, know how to use a knife or a sword?”

"Over here" said Khrixi. She flew to a tree, near her house, but not the same tree. She didn't want Fenja to be able to trace them back.This tree was old and on an embankment, creating a large area under the trunk where the roots were. There was some rumbling and then suddenly the Sphere emerged from the ground. It hung a little above the ground, suspended by the roots around it.

"Tadah!" said Khrixi proudly. "Now...we just get in, shrink and grab and go home." Already, vines were starting to pull on the top of the Sphere. Grip grabbed his lightening run, charging it up. He didn't know how well that worked against fairies. He stuck his old revolver in a holster just to be sure.

"Hah!" laughed the elf, struggling in Fenja's grip. "You think you can defeat us? Put me down and I'll beat you in a fair fight!" Her friends got some hopeful looks. Fenja just laughed.

"You already tried a sneak attack! And you look too damn tasty to let go. The elf was lean and had beautiful long hair. Fenja popped her into her mouth and swallowed, keeping it open to let the others see. This cause a total breakdown into panic. Fenja rolled her eyes. It was funny how people changed when they were the ones about to be killed and not doing the killing.

Cherry looked up nervously she could see vines creeping in through the top of the sphere "um i can use a knife but not very well"she says nervously.

"nah they'll be expecting that"Clover says growing to giant size she then awaited for the vines to open the roof off so she could grab the occupants "i get the elf"she says firmly with a grin.

"Get to the sides." said Grip. "It'll be harder for them to grab you." Suddenly, the hatch was ripped open and he saw the giant Clover standing outside, then reach in to grab Shanna. He didn't see Khrixi flutter in and shrink Cherry. Khrixi held the wriggling girl and moved behind a book on Grip's desk, waiting until Clover was done to leave.

"Hmm... An athletic looking blue haired neko. Black haired girl with a ponytail...very nice legs I must say. And you with the brown hair - excellent butt, good curves all around." The three girls screamed as Fenja looked them over, deciding which one to eat. As she discussed each of them she delicatly took their clothing off. Fur made your throat tickle.

"Now..." she said. "Who's first?" She had had a rough day and getting revenge on some Amazons was going to be fun. She decided to take her time, not aware of the emergency going on back at the camp.

Ha'dara shook his head and muttered as the Sphere was ripped from his hands. Looking around and deciding it must be the fairies they pissed off before, he started searching for their lifesigns, every Ki users favorite method of searching.

Sensing them not far off, he shot off in their direction. Stopping half-way, he started looking for Fenja and rushed off to her, since her friend was taken as well as the others.

Shanna gritted her teeth a the hatch was ripped off. Taking Grip’s advice, she quickly leapt toward the inner edge of the sphere. She saw the giant grinning Clover outside, and gasped as she reached her giant hand in to grab her. Leaping aside to dodge the fingers, Shanna viciously slashed at the giant hand. Holding her sword at the ready, she prepared for another attempt to grab her.

Her eyes went wide as she realied something. Cherry was missing! “Grip! Where’s Cherry?!” Shanna shouted, her eyes darting in between watching Clover and looking around the sphere for Cherry.

Ha'dara found Fenja and rushed over to her, saying only "Sphere gone" and "Fairies" before rushing back in the direction of the lifesigns as fast as he could.

Clover giggled as she reached into the sphere she let out a small gasp feeling shanna's sword against her but on the bright side clover now knew exactly were she was and curled her fingers around shanna plucking the sword from her grasp she giggled holding the elf in her hands "aw do i scare you"she says with a playfull pout upon her face.

Clover tried to scream but she realised khrixi had her hand over her mouth so cherry was unable to scream for help as she was dragged behind a book all she could do was kick her legs wildly as khrixi had her arms pinned to the side,tears apeared in cherry's eyes.

Spotting the size-increased fairies in the distance, Ha'dara held up one hand and fired a blast at the nearest, aiming for her wings.

At the same time Ha'dara was attacking Clover, Grip fired a shot from the lightening gun at her arm, enough to give a serious stinging shock. He hoped it was enough to make her drop Shanna. He back away, watching the ceiling. He hoped the other fairy hadn't left or it might be too late. He quickly scanned the room - where was she?

Khrixi saw the human was getting very close. She couldn't let him mess this up now. She cast a shrinking spell on him, lowering him down to the ground. She looked over the edge of the desk, but she couldn't see him. Suddenly a spark shot past her. He was hiding down there and taking shots at her! She grabbed Cherry and tried to flutter out the hatch, attempting to avoid Clover's shaking arm and hand.

Fenja looked dissapointedly at the three girls. She was just starting to have fun...she looked around and slipped the three girls into a pocket in her vest. She'd eat them later. She then started to sprint after Ha'dara following as best she could.

Cover let out a scream almost dropping shanna but managed to easily catch her she smiled moving her arm out of the sphere she also used the other hand to grab khrixi and cherry this was when she felta small sting in the back of her wing she gasped sprinting of into the forest with the three girls in her hands she ran in the opposite direction from fenja smiling "looks like we have a good catch eh khrixi"she says giggling.

Cherry screamed but it as muffled by khrixi's hand she kicked down on clovers open palm she sighed slightly trying to pull herself away from khrixi to no avail she knew that this would not end well for her or shanna she swallowed nervously looking around her and at khrixi "w..w.what are y..you g..g.gonna d..do t..to u..us"she asks timidly.

'Are they ignoring me?' Ha'dara wondered as he reached them without slowing down, simply charging into the smaller Khrixi, shoulder-first and kamikazie style.

"Come back!" shouted Grip. He swore. There wasn't much he could do being a few inches tall. He paced, trying to think of a way to get out or reverse this faster. He had an idea there might be something on his work table...but how to get up there.....he fell over when Fenja grasped the Sphere and started running, not realizing he was shrunk.

"All right Grip, let 'em have it!" she said, pointing the Sphere and the retreating fairies. She waited and nothing happened.

"Grip?" she asked, looking inside. Empty.

"Shit, the fairies got Grip too!" she said, putting the Sphere down and giving chase again, not able to hear Grips shouts.

"Naga! Naga behind us! And he's shooting stuff at us!" yelled Khrixi to Clover. "Get flying! Get us up and out!"

She then turned to Cherry, then waved the camera, which she had stolen again, in front of her.

"Now now...we just want to take some more pictures...." she said with an evil smile.

Khrixi screamed as the Naga hit Clover's hand, jostling her.

"I said pull up!" she repeated.

Ha'dara grabbed Khrixi's wing with one hand, and forming a blade of Ki from the other. He held the blade on the wing without doing anymore "Where are the little ones?"

Clover groaned as ha'dara hit her arm she gasped when he grabbed her kicking his arm away from her nd jumped up into the air flapping her wings high out of the reach of ha'dara but she noticed he was still chasing her so in an atempt to lose him she turned around flying back past ha'dara and then past over fenja flying high above the tree's she let her palm lay flat as she flew "we should lose them soon i believe"she says giggling.

Cherry swallowed nervously looking to the other hand were shanna was held "look you can stop holding me do you realy think i want to try and escape up here"she says gesturing around her she knew the fairy wouldn't listen to her pleas nor did she care about her.

(For most of that Khrixi was in Clovers hands with the others, I think.)

Khrixi got out of Clover's grip and then sat on her hand, looking at Cherry while grinning.

"See, if you had just been nice before we may have just played with you and let you go. But now we're going to have to have all sorts of fun with you." She took a picture of the terrified Cherry half hanging out of Clover's hand and laughed.

Fenja jumped up but barely missed Clover. She swore and kept moving. She was going to be left far behind, but she could at least keep tracking the fairy for a long distance.
