| Krasps Size: 1 to 2 feet long Threat: High Habitat: Akaptor Desert, Sandfall Maze, Buried Palace
Hailing from the same world as the sand whales, the krasps resemble large purple wasps save for lacking legs and instead having a pair of mantis-like forearms. Their barbed stingers are very large and prominent, and are attached directly to a venom gland filled with neurotoxins. A row of spines runs down their backs, and are bioluminescent, producing a mild blue glow at night. They possess a visor-like singular eye that sees only in heat vision. They also possess two pairs of dragon-fly like wings that are a transparent green in color.
Krasps build large purple hives on whatever solid surface they should be able to find, and these hives can be nearly 12 meters across and resemble coral-like honeycombs. They defend these hives fiercely, and due to the possession of a hive mind each member of a hive knows when another one is in danger. Their is no apparent caste system, and instead all members of the hive are hermaphroditic, producing their own eggs that all individuals care for during the breeding season.
The larvae, which resemble small bioluminescent grubs covered in tiny barbels and who possess numerous tentacles around their parrot-like beaks, are highly prized. They produce a highly addictive honey-like material that when purified can be used as a powerful salve that nearly doubles the healing factor of those who use it for short periods of time. This is especially useful as it can work in conjunction with the healing effect of Felarya's water and soil.
Orgaths Size: 15 to 30 feet long Threat: Low Habitat: Akaptor Desert, Sea of Sinking Sand
Hailing from the same world as the sand whales, the orgaths resemble large stingrays, a trait that often gets them confused with time sharks. Possessing a thin exoskeleton and manta ray-like fins, they are the same color as the sands they inhabit. They possess three sets of eyes lining up along the front of their heads, as well as a series of large spines running down their backs. Near the lower parts of their backs jut out two funnel-like tower which spit out clouds of sand that the creatures inhale while they feed.
Swimming through the sand with relative ease, they feed on the shimmerlings with their under-hanging mouths which act like vacuums, sucking up both food and sand. They typically move in large swarms containing dozens of individuals. The leap from the sand like fish from time to time, though especially when they are startled. The young are born live and are considered a good source of protein by the natives of the region. Some compare their flesh to that of lobster, though with a sweet aftertaste.
Babelisks Size: 30 to 50 feet tall Threat: Medium Habitat: Akaptor Desert
Hailing from the same world as the sand whales, the babelisks are a bizzare species of fauna that possess small circular bodies and a trio of long spindly legs. These tripods walk across the desert, their chitinous exoskeletons resembling the sand on which they stand. Six eyes ring their body as they possess radial symmetry and, at a moments notice, can stop and walk in whatever direction they choose. A large circular mouth is located beneath their body, filled with extremely long pale blue tentacles that tirelessly sift the sands for food. These tentacles sting their prey with potent neurotoxins before dragging their paralyzed bodies up into their mouths.
Solitary omnivores, they are a rare sight in Felarya. These creatures have the interesting ability to project an anti-magic barrier which nullifies all magic within a short distance of them. It is believed that this is what protects them from the time altering magic of Akaptor desert. Interestingly, their larvae resemble spinning tops that fly around their parent for short periods of time before dropping into the sand and burying themselves. | |

Zerg. It's their (basic) flying unit that flings a parasite that bounces from target to target. | |

| Thanks again Karbo. Hope some of them can be used in Felarya. Know some parasite ideas I had (as parasites are some of the most unique and adaptive organisms, and constitute the most successful niche here on Earth).
Hecatick Size: .5 to 3 inches long Threat: Low Habitat: Forest of Whispers, Miragia Forest, Deeper Felarya, Evernight Forest, Chidokai Forest, Jungle of Perils
Hecaticks are a strange species of parasites native to Felarya. Resembling ticks, they live a similar lifestyle, such as hiding in tall grass and such while waiting for suitable prey to pass. However, instead of feeding on blood, hecaticks feed on the magical energies that flow through all living things in Felarya in varying amounts. In order to get at this food source, hecaticks latch onto a host and then begin feeding, though they do not bite into the flesh with their fangs. The magical essences then flows into them, causing their abdomens to expand. Once satiated, they fall off and then "break down" the magic into a rawer, purer form which is released back into the world, after which the hecatick is ready to feed again.
Hecaticks are naturally attracted to beings with immense magical powers. While not harmful on their own, in large amounts they can drain a being's magic, thus making them temporarily vulnerable and unable to use spells for a short period of time. Hecaticks also possess a unique natural ability which is the projection of a "bubble" around themselves that not only masks their presence from "magical senses" but also "repels" magical spells, causing them to wash around them as if an invisible barrier were present. Because of this, some beings have used them as a form of temporary biological armor, letting the hecaticks feed off their magic while at the same time shielding them from spells.
It is theorized that hecaticks do not "see" in the typical sense, instead being able to view concentrations, flows, and gradients of magic that exist within the world, a useful ability in a world as magic-rich as Felarya. Hecaticks are commonly found in wooded regions.
Leviathan Gutlord Size: 15 to 40 feet long Threat: Medium Habitat: Topazial Sea (Leviathan Mermaids)
Leviathan gutlords are a bizarre parasite that makes its home deep within the stomachs of, as its name suggests, leviathan mermaids. Resembling a cross between an eel and a shrimp, this crustaceous parasite feeds off whatever the leviathan mermaid does and, from time to time, go after the crewman of ships who its host stores in its secondary stomach for safe travel. They are not very detrimental to their host due to their relatively small size in comparison to them, though in large enough numbers they are known to make them terrible ravenous, a horrific concept when one considers the fact that leviathan mermaids are one of the largest creatures throughout Felarya.

| Of course I agree.
--------------------------------
Here is a redo of one of my original creature suggestions. Hope you all like it. I can change the name if you want me to. I expanded on the idea of the creature and added an optional concept of a whaling-like (in this case turtling) event involving them.
Jasconius Size: 80 to 200 feet Threat: Very Low - Medium for ships. Habitat: Shimmering Sea
The jasconi resemble titan-sized leatherback sea turtles and are distantly related to torkudas and noghdongs. Gentle giants, they live within the shimmering sea, posing a threat only to seaweed and jellyfish, as well as the occasional boat that collides into them. Encounters with the latter leave many adults with numerous scars which, on occasion, are used to identify them. While typically solitary, they will occasionally come together in large numbers, especially during the mating season, after which they will either head towards the coast north of the Fairy Kingdom or Iracal island in order to lay their dozens of eggs in the sand.
Because of their great size, jasconi have no natural predators when they are fully grown. When at rest near the surface, seagull harpies are known to use these "living islands" as both temporary roosts as well as a food source, feeding off the parasites and such that make the jasconi their home. Both species benefit from this relationship.
(optional) On a rather sadder note, some of the smaller races in Felarya have begun hunting these benevolent behemoths for both their meat and magic-resistant skin. This is especially true with off-worlders who simply view these beautiful animal as just another resource ripe for the taking. Thankfully, however, mermaids are known to readily come to the aid of these majestic creatures, defending them from their hunters. Many a would-be "turtler" have permanently learned the error of their ways. | |

| ----------------------------------- EsemiteSize: 1 inch long Threat: Very Low Habitat: Kryromia Fields Close cousins of the hecaticks, esemites can be found throughout Kryromia fields and its surroundings areas. Resembling mites more than ticks, they feed off the magical energies that are stored within the flora of the region, such as the massive flowers and the local dryads. Once they track down a suitable host via their theoretical "magic vision", they will latch onto it and begin to feed. They possess the same magical resistance as hecaticks, though the "bubble" is much smaller. Those found outside the Kryromia fields are known to actively seek out dryads over other flora with magical properties. Why this occurs is unknown, though some theorize that it might be that they prefer dryads in that they possess greater amounts of magical energies. That, or the esemites have simply developed a taste for dryad magic. TerrortickSize: 15 feet long Threat: Very Low (non-magic users) to medium (magical beings/users) Habitat: Forest of Whispers, Miragia Forest, Deeper Felarya, Chidokai Forest, Jungle of Perils A larger cousin of the hecaticks, the terrortick is considered a much greater threat to magical beings. Resembling a large, bloated tick, they typically parasitize larger beings with magical properties such as nagas. They will latch onto them, but unlike their smaller cousin, they will bite down into them. However, due to their relatively small size compared to the host, this is rarely felt. They will feed until their abdomen has quadrupled in size, after which they will fall off and find a safe place to digest. Terrorticks are also known to hunt smaller creatures. While those lacking magical abilities, such as nonnative humans, are practically invisible to them, others such as fairies are hunted with extreme efficiency. Immune to visual disguises, they can track down their prey via the magical energies that flow through them. They will either hunt and swallow them down like a normal pred or use a unique strategy. This strategy involves the terrortick "deflating" somewhat, after which it opens its five-toothed maw in order to suck in its prey via a powerful vacuum. Once engulfed, the prey is digested and their magic absorbed. This, combined with their magical resistance, makes them a true, though rare, threat to small magical beings. Sea ApeSize: 3 to 6 feet Tall Threat: Low to Moderate (for ships) Habitat: Topazial Sea Sea apes are a strange aquatic creature native to Felarya. They are covered in filamentous, algae-like fur that can be green to aquamarine in color while their faces, palms, chest, and feet are covered in tiny scales. They also possess fins on their back and the sides of their arms, as well as a fish-like tail, webbed fingers/toes, and gill slits on the sides of their torso. They live in packs, and are most commonly found in the waters surrounding the clusters of islands within the Topazial sea. They are omnivorous, and will typically feed on seaweed and fish. Curious, or better yet mischievous creatures by nature, they are known to board ships should they enter their territories. Once onboard, they can make themselves into real nuisance to the crewman by tearing apart planks, smashing engines, etc... as they search for things of interest that they can steal, such as shiny jewels and the like. Also, should the ship be a trawler or such, they will readily break into the hold in order to steal the fisherman's catch for themselves. Because of this, many boat captains will avoid passing near areas where sea apes are sighted. | |

| Crimsonclaw Tonorion Size: 30 to 100 feet in length Threat: Medium to High Habitat: Jungle of Perils
Crimsonclaw tonorions are a smaller subspecies of tonorion found within the jungle of perils. Their exoskeleton, which is slightly thicker than that of the mainline species, is a deep crimson in color, matching the coloration of the jungle they inhabit, and is fireproof. Another noticeable physical difference is that their front claws and limbs are larger and possess sharper spikes. While this alone would make them formidable threats, they also possess a poisonous stinger on their tail as well as toxic saliva.
While most tonorions live underground or on the forest floor, crimsonclaws are mostly arboreal. They spend so much time in the canopy that they build their nests their with the aid of sticky secretions. One would do well to avoid their massive nests, as only the most brave-hearted or foolish would dare to enter them in search of the fabled queen jelly, and those that have are never heard from again.
Whisper Wisps Size: 1 to 3 inches in diameter Threat: Minimal to Low Habitat: Forest of Whispers, Miragia Forest, Chidokai Forest
Whisper wisps are stranger, ethereal beings native to Felarya. Resembling glowing orbs of light that come in a variety of colors, they've earned their name from their whispering speech. In childish voices they are known to taunt and make fun of those they come across like little children, much to the annoyance of many adventurers. However, they are also wary of them as whisper wisps appear to have a knowledge beyond that of mere mortals, speaking of things that only the wisest of beings would know.
If scared, they will suck in all nearby magic and then unleash it all as an explosive blast known as as a "nova". This burst can be very destructive, as well as distracting. Strangely though, these beings would appear to have little need of doing this as most physical objects merely phase through them as if they weren't even there. This has led some to believe that they "nova" in order to "get back" at anyone who would scare them in an act of childish revenge, then leave them for the predators.
Matrigor Size: 25 foot wingspan Threat: High (Tonorions only) Habitat: Forest of Whispers, Grove of Carnivorous Plants, Chidokai Forest
Also known as the "Tonorion's Bane", the matrigor is an evolutionary marvel that is recognized as one of the few predators to prey on these monstrous centipedes. As adults they resemble giant moths with mantid-like forelegs and features, as well as a abdomen similar to that of a wasp, complete with stinger. Their coloration matches that of the very creatures they hunt, and despite their great size they are completely silent when they fly, making them masters of aerial stealth at night.
When a female finds a tonorion, she will swoop in and quickly sting it, injecting it with numerous paralytic toxins that make her next task all the easier. Numerous eggs are released inside of the prey, of which one hatches within seconds. When the tonorion comes too, it returns to its typical habits, all awhile the single larva transforms into a fungal-like growth that spreads throughout the body, taking complete control of it. With the larvae in control, the tonorion becomes but a simple slave, hunting and feeding in order to nourish the numerous other grub-like larvae that are just beginning to hatch. Once its task is done, the tonorion is compelled to find the tallest nearby structure, such as a tree, and climb to the top of it. Upon reaching the top, all but the fungus-like larvae devour it from the inside out before escaping it and transforming into their adult stage. The first larvae, its sole task in life complete, dies with its host.
This process is then repeated over and over again. After the adults mate and reproduce, their role in life is over and they soon die due to organ failure. This occurs despite the immortality-granting magic of Felarya. It is believed that this occurs so as they don't compete with their own young
Frost Drake Size: 250 to 300 feet long Threat: Very High Habitat: Imoreith Tundra
To the far north of Felarya, deep within the frozen plains of Imoreith tundra, the lands are under the constant vigilance of the mighty frost drakes. Massive reptilian behemoths slightly resemble great big bloated alligators, they possess a pair rams-like horns upon their heads and ice-like scales that are as hard as diamonds. They lack ears, instead relying on sensing vibrations that travel through the ground, as well as using their sense of smell and sight.
Dragging their bellies across the snow-covered landscape with the aid of their massive claws, they appear to be rather slow, almost incompetent looking predators. This is a mere illusion, however, for as soon as one senses prey it will bound forward with great speed before biting down with enough force to tear a chunk out of the ground before swallowing their food whole. If their prey manages to stay out of the reach of its jaws, however, these massive reptiles are capable of sucking them in with a mighty inhale, creating a powerful vacuum from which few can escape. And, with just as much ease, these great beasts can blow out a blast of icy air capable of freezing entire herds or even an ice elemental!
Thankfully for most of the inhabitants of the north, frost drakes are both very rare and hibernate for great periods of time. They are also very territorial, save for during the mating season which occurs every couple of hundreds of years. Rumor has it that these beasts may have originated from the cold wastelands of Acheron, a terrifying thought indeed.

| I agree to it all. ---------------------- NecroshadeSize: 5 to 20 feet in diameter Threat: Medium to High Habitat: Evernight Forest, Tenebra Maze Ancient and mysterious entities, little is known about the necroshades appart from a few facts recorded by adventurers who've survived encounters with them. Resembling large dark orbs, they've been described as shadows amongst shadows, darkness amongst darkness, and so inky black that the blackest of nights pale in comparison to them. When they sense the pressence of prey, thick black tentacles of darkness emerge from their surface, enwrapping whatever they desire and dragging them within its body. Those that vanish into its spherical form are never seen again. What seperates these from other creatures of darkness is that instead of being weakened by light, necroshades are in fact strenthened by it. Becoming more durable, faster, and magic-resistant, they can become a major threat. A downside to this, however, is that they will eventually die if left in the light, thus they tend to avoid it whenever possible. ThermitesSize: 3 to 15 feet long Threat: Low to Medium Habitat: Pyrale Mountain, Mount Vylkren Found only in areas of extreme heat, such as within volcanoes, thermites are a colonial insect. Resembling termites with obsidian exoskeletons and abdomens filled with magma, they feed primarily on rocks and minerals within their habitats. Aggressive creatures when cornered, they will readily attack intruders that enter their vast nests without regard for their own lives. Soldiers, which can be nearly the same size as a grown man, can shoot white flames that are so hot that they can melt steel within seconds. The smaller workers lack this ability, and are completely defenseless, thus they are guarded at all times. The queen, meanwhile, is the largest member of the hive and is the sole egglayer, just as with normal termites. FrostitesSize: 5 to 18 feet long Threat: Low to Medium Habitat: Frost Peak Genetic relatives of thermites, they thrive in cold places as their cousins do in hot ones. Slightly larger than thermites, they live a very similar lifestyle. In appearance they resemble large termites, save for an exoskeleton appearing to be made of opaque ice and an abdomen filled with a bluish watery substance akin to antifreeze. They typically live in nests deep underground, with the only evidence of their existence being towering icy spires that serve as entrances into them. The frostites feed on metals and ice, with the latter being eaten due to the microbes living within it. They lack the fire breath of their cousins, and instead the warriors squirt a liquid from their heads that freezes within seconds of being exposed to the cold polar air. | |

| Frostwing Size: 25 foot wingspan Threat: Medium Habitat: Frost Peak
High up in the mountains surrounding Frost Peak, a deadly yet rare predator rules the skies. Resembling giant bats with massive wingspans, they are covered in thick snowy-white fur, possess numerous sharp fangs, and have nearly nonexistent eyes. Soaring above the treacherous terrain on silent wings, they are capable of swooping down and snatching up an unaware adventurer or snow tiger with their powerful talons before their companions even realize what has happened. They are known to use blizzards to their advantage, using them to hide themselves from the wary eyes of their prey while their own sonar allows them to pinpoint them with deadly accuracy.
Frostwings use the many ice caves scattered throughout the mountain range in order to roost in safety. One will usually find only one per cave as they are solitary predators, however, with exception of mothers tending their younglings while their mates are out hunting. How they resist the extreme cold is unknown, though it is believed that their fur and blood contains a heat-producing magic which protects even their membranous wings from frostbite.
----------------------------------------------------- Figured I might try my hand at diversifying the giant slugs of Felarya. Figured they would fit in either Bulvon Woods or the Great Marshes, as both appear to be overrun with the critters.
Acerslugs Size: 15 to 20 feet long Threat: Low Habitat: Bulvon Woods, The Bach
Acerslugs can typically be found in areas with a high humidity with plenty of ferns and fungi for them to feed on. Resembling oversized slugs, their most unique feature is what appears to be a large anemone growing in the middle of its back. Fully functioning and capable of swallowing whole large prey once they have been stung into submission, it is in stark contrast to its normal head that feeds primarily on vegetation. While not a major threat to adventurers, they are a constant danger for larger creatures, especially the ones that fly.
Acid Slugs Size: 5 to 10 feet long Threat: Low Habitat: Bulvon Woods, The Bach
Acid slugs are a species of giant slugs that are a vibrant lime-green in coloration with yellowish stripes. They are peaceful herbivores that can typically be found in small groups. Its back is covered with numerous pores and, if threatened, it will squirt from them a shower of powerful stomach acids in all directions. These digestive enzymes causing a searing burning sensation on any would-be predator, making them think twice before making it or any other acid slug a meal. Slug girls, however, are immune to this and are thus their primary predator.
Titan Slugs Size: 30 to 50 feet long Threat: Low to Medium Habitat: Bulvon Woods, The Bach
Titan slugs are one of the largest slug species to be found in Bulvon woods, as well as one of the most toxic. More resembling sea slugs than terrestrial ones, these vibrant colored giants ooze about the forest floor, leaving behind thick trails of toxic slime. Primarily herbivores, they will however swallow smaller slugs and other tinier animals should they cross their path. While most larger predators leave them alone, if they are threatened, however, they will expel massive amounts of slime until they are covered in a barrier that can be dozens of feet thick. They lay their eggs within rotten logs.
Slog Size: 4 to 8 feet long Threat: Minimum Habitat: Bulvon Woods, The Bach
While not the largest of the giant slugs, the slog does have a unique adaptation that has made it a nuisance to both adventurer and creature alike. Appearing to be no more than a large jet-black slug, if it should be startled and/or threatened it will secrete large amounts of green slime. This slime reacts with the air and quickly turns into a thick impenetrable fog that surrounds the creature for dozens of feet. The "fog" irritates the eyes while at the same time being both horrible tasting and smelling. While the predator or clumsy adventurer is distracted, the slog can quickly slide away to safety.
The Deadly Grib Size: 2 to 3 feet long Threat: Medium Habitat: Bulvon Woods, The Bach
While at first glance one would think this chubby little teal slug was harmless, one would be in for a deadly surprise. Unlike most other giant slugs, the deadly grib is carnivorous with a mouthful of sharpened teeth that would make a great white envious. Traveling in packs, they will swarm over their prey with surprising speed, and with the aid of paralytic toxins within their slime that are easily absorbed through the skin, they make quick work of their food. While vicious, they are still rather low on the food chain in Felarya as their teeth lack the penetrating power to pierce the skin of most adult larger predators, though young ones are not entirely out of question.
----------------------------------------------------- Wanted to diversify the creatures of the volcanic regions of Pyrale mountain. Figured most would have a low threat level as few humans could actually encounter them due to the region being too dangerous to enter with all the lava and sulfurous fumes.
Fire Strider Size: 10 to 15 feet long Threat: Low Habitat: Pyrale Mountains, Mount Vylkren
Fire striders are one of the more unique creatures found in the Pyrale mountains. Resembling an oversized water strider with an obsidian-black exoskeleton, it literally walks on the surface of the lava. As they walk across this molten surface, they continuously search for food such as the metals found within the lava itself as well as the various other creatures that inhabit it. They are tamable up to a degree and will allow themselves to be used as mounts. In return for transporting passengers across rivers of lava they are typically rewarded with food.
Firefins Size: 20 to 35 feet long Threat: Low Habitat: Pyrale Mountains, Mount Vylkren
Living within the very lava itself, firefins are one of the more deadly creatures to be found in the Pyrale mountains. Resembling giant red sharks, they swim through the lakes of lava and magma as if they were water, preying upon whatever they come across. Typically all of what is seen of them is their crimson dorsal fin slicing through the molten rock, and by then it is too late. They are one of the few creatures that will view lava elementals as food.
Ignisi Size: Microscopic to 1 cm in diameter Threat: Minimal Habitat: Pyrale Mountains, Mount Vylkren
Living within the fiery realm of the Pyrale mountains are dozens of tiny diatom-like species. Floating on the currents of hot wind, they feed on minerals in the air and the very heat itself. They form massive clouds above the lava and serve as a food source for several creatures in the region. At night some of the species glow a deep red due to bioluminescence, lighting up the region and creating an almost magical sight in combination with the glow of the lava itself.
Magmosi Size: 2 to 3 feet in diameter Threat: Minimal Habitat: Pyrale Mountains, Mount Vylkren
Resembling giant black barnacles, magmosi encrust of volcanic walls of the Pyrale mountains. Feeding on the ignisi as their oceanic equivalent do with plankton, they are passive filter-feeders. When the time comes to reproduce, they release numerous slug-like larva that will slide about before finding a point of gestation. They then develop ebony-black shells that are extremely durable, especially since many creatures, including humans, find their flesh delectable. It should be noted that they cannot survive in the lava itself, but require the extreme heat it produces in order to thrive.
Fire Worms Size: 25 to 50 feet long Threat: Low to Moderate Habitat: Pyrale Mountains, Mount Vylkren
Within the rock walls of the Pyrale mountains, giant worms tirelessly burrow vast tunnel systems in a continuos search for food. Possessing a ruby-like skin and a large circular mouth filled with rows of metal teeth, they literally melt the rock before them as they tunnel and then swallow the molten stone. From this diet they derive nourishment from the numerous metals found within it. They can pose a threat to miners as they dig, though they typically stay closer to the more volcanic regions in the area.

Thanks. The frostwing was actually based on something I wrote in a short story on paper while bored... I never named it though. I pondered on giving the fire strider flight, which would increase its mobility. I could make it more like a regular water strider where only a few members within a population will develop complete wings, allowing them to spread to other habitats. I'll see what Karbo thinks. As for the giant slugs we could always use more diversity. | |

| It's all good so far, but I think Bulvon Woods also need more snails. | |

| Well you asked for it, so here it is.
Phantom Shells Size: 5 to 8 feet long Threat: Minimal Habitat: Bulvon Woods, The Bach
Living deep within the wooded forest live strange giant snails. They are a deep grey in coloration with black shells. Their most unique trait is their ability to constantly phasing back and forth between dimensions, making them intangible. Protected from nearly all predators while in this state, their only weakness lies in the fact that they must "solidify" back into the current plain of existence if they wish to feed. During this time they are vulnerable and defenseless, a trait that many a patient pred will exploit.
Spitfire Snails Size: 15 to 20 feet long Threat: Low Habitat: Bulvon Woods, The Bach
Spitfire snails, unlike their cousins, possess a scaly amber skin and do not require large amounts of water. Herbivores, they feed on the various mosses and lichens that grow within the regions they inhabit. If threatened by a predator or some other threat, they are capable of shooting a stream of flames from their mouth, earning them their names. Young ones can typically perform this for five to six seconds, though larger ones can last for entire minutes at a time. Because of this defense, few predators go after them.
Crimson Angels Size: 10 to 30 feet wingspans Threat: Low Habitat: Pyrale Mountains, Mount Vylkren
Crimson angels are not, as their name would suggest, angels of any sort. They instead resemble winged serpents made out of flames. They form large flocks within the volcanic regions of Pyrale mountains with each member moving so fast as that they resemble shooting stars. They pay little attention to the nearby miners as they require only extreme heat in order survive. They fly for their entire lives, never landing, and reproduce via a process similar to mitosis.
Crimson Weavers Size: 20 to 40 feet long Threat: Low to Medium Habitat: Pyrale Mountains, Mount Vylkren
Having also earned the name fire spinners, crimson weavers are a species of arachnid adapted to life within volcanoes. Resembling an oversized orb-weaver, they are a deep shade of crimson in coloration with transparent abdomens that appear to be filled with magma. They produce a red silk that is both heat-resistant and stronger than steel, allowing them to trap creature larger than them as well as those that live within the lava itself. They are also capable of producing a secondary silk that can be ignited at will by its owner, earning them their nickname.
They are a threat to the nearby miners as they will leave their volcanic homes from time to time on hunting trips. Water is a recommended weapon in fighting them off as it appears to burn them like acid.
Mirror Mimic Size: Varies Threat: Medium Habitat: Milkadis Temple
One of the creatures native to the Milkadis temple, it is also one of its many threats. At first glance it looks just like all the other mirrors there, and is just as dangerous as them. Should one get too close to the mirror mimic, a pair of thick humanoid arms will grow out of the frame and grab onto them with an iron grip. The unfortunate prey is then dragged into the mirror, vanishing within its surface as it appears to temporarily liquify. One can avoid them, however, by paying attention to ones reflection in the mirror. Their will always be a flaw in the image, such as a hat missing or extra buttons appearing on a shirt, and noticing this will tell one that they are in the presence of a mirror mimic. | |

| Some concepts for various types of demons and such that inhabit the dimension of Hell. They are based on particular demons, combinations of various demons, or mockeries of types of angels.
False Thrones Size: 20 feet in diameter Threat: Medium
Powerful demons of hell, they were created as a mockery of the throne, one of the highest orders of angels. They resemble large fleshy orbs covered entirely with bloodshot eyes that levitate through the air. They are typically used as sentries in hell as they possess an ability known as "true sight" which allows them to see through all illusions. Combined with their 360 degree vision, very few beings can escape their gaze unnoticed. Should they detect an intruder, they are capable of firing beams of dark energy from their numerous eyes while at the same time raising an alarm.
If one is forced to fight one of these demons, various spells of illusion will be of little help. Spells that can induce (temporary) blindness or create powerful flashes of light, however, are extremely useful at disabling false thrones, making them basically powerless. If one possesses none of the before-mentioned spells, aiming for their eyes is the best way to take one down, despite the dangers involved. A less honorable way of increasing ones odds is kicking/throwing dust into their eyes.
Argus Size: 30 feet in diameter Threat: High
A higher order of false throne, they are even more powerful and durable. They come about when a false throne lives long enough for its flesh to harden into stone and its eyes to become like glass, a maturation that takes around several centuries. Typically used to guard the houses of the higher nobles of Hell, their vision is even greater than that of the typical false throne as they are able to see through barriers and walls. Besides possessing the ability to fire beams of dark energy from their eyes, they can fire beams of light energy as well. These beams of holy destruction are devastating to demons, making the argus an excellent guard against would-be demon assassins sent by other houses in order to kill their masters.
A notable argus was Odak of the thousand eyes. Not bound to a house in Hell, it was eventually worshipped as a minor god of foresight. While its followers eventually died out, the ultimate fate of this rare free argus is unknown.
Allu Size: 5 to 6 feet tall Threat: Low
Minor soldiers in the armies of Hell, they are very weak compared to most other demons. Resembling skinless humanoids, they possess elongated claws on their hands and feet. Their faces lack facial features such as eyes and ears or even a mouth. In order to even see or feed, they typically wear masks that almost act like symbiotic organisms. As they are used as cannon fodder foot soldiers whose sole purpose is to weaken enemy defenses, many are not expected to survive and thus are rarely, if ever, given armor or weapons. Those that do manage to survive long enough mature into the next stage of their life cycle, the Allu'Baƫl.
Allu'Baƫl Size: 7 to 8 feet tall Threat: Moderate
When an allu survives long enough to mature, it forms a cocoon-like sac in which it transforms into its adult form. Upon exiting the cocoon it now possesses a chitinous exoskeleton as black as ebony and much larger claws. A crown-like crest forms upon its head and it loses the need for a mask as it develops a beak filled with sharp teeth. Now leading its own kind, it is used as a captain by its superiors and is allowed to wear armor and use weapons.
Malphasites Size: 3 to 4 feet tall Threat: Low
Small humanoids, they possess the head, feathers, and legs of a crow. Used as workers in Hell, they construct the various architects found there as well as keeping up on their maintenance. They possess a matriarchal hierarchy, though all will follow the order of higher demons. Quite dextrous and nimble, they are smarter than they appear yet are skittish by nature. They are rarely seen outside of hell save for when fortifications are needed near the frontline during a war. They have an attraction for shiny objects.
Rumor has it that a small group of malphasites escaped Hell and have since built a small thriving society somewhere to the southeast of the mist ocean along the edge of the dridder's forest.
Pursonicore Size: 30 to 45 feet long Threat: High
Vicious warriors in Hell's armies, they possess the head of a lion, arms ending in hissing vipers, the lower tauric body of a grizzly bear, and a long tail covered in sharp poisonous spines. Almost unrivaled in combat, their very presence instills fear in their enemies. They are intensely loyal to their superiors and will willingly battle to the death for them. In said battles they will tear apart their enemies with their sharp claws and teeth, or bite them with their serpent heads while in close range. From a distance they will instead bombard their foes with a deadly shower of toxic spines. Winning against such a demon is said to be worthy of song.

| The mirror mimic sounds too much like an idea that has already been suggested. | |

| Wow a very impressive list here ! o.o And some excellent ideas, really nicely described I have just a question. Concerning demons, are those some you created from scratch or existing ones ? I ask because you mention specific names ( such as thrones ) and I don't know a lot about demon or angel mythology XD | |

| First off I agree to the disclaimer.
As for the demons, this is how it goes.
The false throne and argus are based upon the throne, one of the highest levels of angels which is described as resembling a wheel covered in eyes. They are meant to be demonic mockeries of them. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrones)
Allu is an actual demon name for some demons of Akkadian mythology. It is described as a race of monstrous and faceless beings. The Allu'Baƫl combines the allu with the demon Baal, especially since baal means lord, so in this case the beings are meant to be lords over other allu. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allu) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baal_(demon)#Ba.27al_as_a_demon)
Malphasites are based on the demon Malphas who is known for construction. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malphas)
The Pursonicore is a combination of the demon Purson and the mythological beast the manticore. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purson) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manticore) | |

| Concept idea for a group of beings known as the "Beasts of Nihilism", or if not that name then something similar. Didn't want to go with the name "Chaos Beasts" as I feel that's been used to many times already in fiction. Based on the wiki info of creatures in Hell that are apparently known to prey on demons and even wiping out entire armies of them, such as those within the realm of Acheron. While not demons themselves as they are not aligned with them or even Hell itself, they can be confused for them by more naive individuals. As demons and angels are said to be created from "negative" and "positive" respectively, these beasts are instead formed from raw, unfettered energies not aligned to either end of the energy spectrum.
Beasts of Nihilism Size: Varies Threat: Varies
Typically found only within the various circles of Hell, few beasts of nihilism have actually appeared in Felarya itself save for a rare sighting in areas of extreme dimensional instability or when a summoning goes horribly wrong. Neither alined with the forces of Heaven or Hell, these beings were born from raw, unfettered energies that are neither positive nor negative, such as those stemming from primordial fears. Ranging from minor annoyances to beings that could hold their own with arch devils, no two beasts of nihilism look alike due to the chaotic nature of their creation. This has led to some difficultly in classifying them.

| Okay I changed it.
-----------------------------------
Chordoni Waterfalls
Emerald Phoenix Size: 10 foot wingspan Threat: Low
Magnificent birds native to Felarya, emerald pheonix's make their home around the Chordoni waterfalls. Notable for the emerald sheen of their feathers, they slightly resemble peacocks save for lacking their extravagant tail feathers and having a more hawk-like beak. They feed on the fish that inhabit the crystal clear waters, and when not doing so their harmonious songs echo throughout the area, standing out even against the thundering crash of the waterfalls themselves. Almost surprisingly, these birds are extremely calm around giant nagas despite the fact that they are large predators, and this is likely due to the fact that they've shared the waterfalls with the enthralling Vivian for an untold number of years.
Rumor has it that one will be granted extraordinarily good luck should they manage to pluck one of the tail feathers of these marvelous birds. However, recalling the fact that the Chordoni waterfalls are inhabited by various preds, including Vivian, the risks might possibly far outweigh the rewards. Poachers have also been going after the birds for the sake of capturing them and selling them as exotic pets in Negav as well as other cities.
Glittersquids Size: 2 to 3 feet long Threat: Minimal
Tiny freshwater squids found in the Chordoni waterfalls, they form tiny shoals close to the surface. Their bodies glitter as if studded with dozens of tiny diamonds, giving them their names. They breed several times a year, covering the lake floor with hundreds of clusters of eggs sacs, though unlike normal squids they don't die after doing this. Because of their plentifulness, they are a common prey item for other creatures. Their meat is especially tender and is said to taste similarly to lobster.
Jumbo Polliwog Size: 4 to 5 feet long Threat: Minimal
Giant tadpoles native to the waters of Chordoni waterfalls, they remain so for their entire lives. Forming loose schools, they feed on smaller fish and insects that fall onto the waters surface. Their skin secretes produces a slime coat that keeps them moist at all time and makes it harder for predators to hold onto them. This slime has developed an appeal as it acts as an anti-aging cream when combined with certain herbs, reducing the signs of age. It is used by older people who arrived in Felarya at the latter stages of their lives.
Fishercrabs Size: 8 to 12 feet tall Threat: Low
Bearing a resemblance to giant spider crabs. Crawling along the rocks and walls, they feed on both the local fish and birds, as well as smaller members of their own species. They are extremely skittish as they are little more than a snack for some of the larger predators they share the Chordoni waterfalls with. Females are larger than males, and can be nearly twice as tall as a human. It is speculated that they arrived in Felarya from wherever the source of the water for Chordoni waterfalls came from.
Scarlet Dragonfly Size: 15 to 20 foot wingspan Threat: Moderate
Giant oversized dragonflies found at Chordoni waterfalls, they are aerial predators whom only the local rock harpies out master in the skies. Its exoskeleton in green in coloration with scarlet stripes running down its back, and its legs are longer than those of an ordinary dragonfly as it uses them to scoop fish out of the water. While this diet will satiate it, some reports have mentioned adventurers being plucked right off the ground by these aerial aces. They can be a major threat to fairies that visit here as their fast speed, ravenous nature, and magic resistance could make them little more than a snack to the scarlet dragonfly, at least until the fairy changed its size.
-------------------------------------
Ascarpede Size: 30 feet long Threat: Medium Habitat: Great Ascarlin Mines
Giant centipedes native to the Ascarlin mountains, their main identifying feature is that fact that their exoskeletal armor appears to be made up of ascarlin. How this is possible is unknown, though some theorize that it naturally produces the material. They are not very tolerant of the large amount of noise that comes from both the process of mining deeper as well the act of extracting ascarlin itself from the mine walls, and the ascarpedes have since moved deeper within the mountain in order to avoid the constant sounds. | |
