Angel Nagas

"I couldn't fly closer, she would have been eaten up by the propeller like that guy did last night." That fits perfectly.

You could always steal from the film "Flight of Dragons" or the book by the same name and have the Winged Naga able to fill her tail with a lighter- than- air gas and neutralise the weight that way. If it works for dragons it would work for nagas!

To make a naga fly, you would either need exceptionally wide wings which extended down the tail, or else rely on multiple pairs of wings distributed down the body.

I myself am not too big on the idea of nagas capable of outright flight. It just doesn't seem to fit together properly. A naga goddess might have an excuse, but biologicially speaking, snakes aren't built for flight. An aerial naga would be a VERY specific design, most likely with a reduced tail and exceptionally wide wings. It would make more sense for such a creature to walk on its wings, rather than its tail.

Or said wings only allows for hovering.

I like the idea of a winged flying Naga, I imagine it would look somewhat like Chinese dragons. The long thin snake like ones, but with humanoid upper-torso of course.

I remember seeing some old animations of ones that didn't even have wings, no idea how they flew but they looked alot like sea snakes swimming through water. Very mystical looking, twirling and curling its way through the air.

Well-I like the idea of "Naga Angels" myself. I don't know what happens to nagas after they "pass on." (It always seemed rude of me to ask Vivian or Crisis. I did ask Menyssan once but she just told me she was in "population control not promotion" and tried to get me to come within reach.)
I could imagine a naga spirit becoming an Angel and being sent back to Felarya to watch over her bretheren-with maybe some vore, purely to combat evil of course!
