Dragonjaj Character ideas

OK so ill put my character ides here. I'm new to writing for felarya and but have fallowed karbos art on DA and eka's. and have skimmed the wiki a few times. So if I make mistakes (like a character is too similar to another or something like that.) please tell me.


Name: Oka

Race: Oni

Age: 300+ looks in her early 20s

Height: 9’10”

Weight: 200lb

Measurements: B43" W29" H38"

Looks: Short red hair, 3 white 4 inch horns, gold eyes, scar across her face, and tanned skin. She wears loose kimonos with storm or fire patterns set on a black background, or tiger striped top and skirt.

Background: She was born of the union of 2 oni clans her mother was from the Thunder clan and her father was the head of the Mountain clan. Making her the princess of the mountain clan. She used her grate beauty to lure in young human men to feed on them, 'till the day mighty priestess confronted her and after a fierce albeit one-sided battle the priestess sealed her in a stone. Later the local villagers built a shrine around to keep her sealed in the stone. She was trapped there for 200 years (witch did not help her mood). Then in 1866 an American freed her from the stone by accident during duel with a samurai. By her clans laws she is now bound to serve him and his family for the rest of her life as thanks for him freeing her from her stone prison. She is not trilled about being a vassal to a human foreigner, but at lest he's cute for a human and didn't mind her "Drinking habits".

Weapon of choice: Inabikari-Ka (double kanabo) and magic gourd (shrinks and sucks in victims and turns them to sake)

Name: Jaycub Johnson (Jay to his friends)

Race: Human

Age: 26

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 170lbs

Measurements: N/A

Looks: Short brown hair, blue eyes. wears a brown trench coat over gray pants and blue shirt, and a blue Union cavalry officer cap. (the ones that look like cowboy hats)

Background: Joined the Union army in the American Civil War with his younger 2 brothers, Gabrielle and Alexander, both of whom died in the war. In the war he served as a Lt in the Union cavalry assigned to General Sherman during his march. After the wars end, he went to see the world rather then heading home to his family's gunsmith business. His travels took him through England, Ireland the home of his forefathers, France, Russia, China, eventually landing him in Japan during the last years of the 3rd shogunate, where he got caught up in growing political tensions, and freed an Oni. In Japan he worked for the shogun as a cavalry officer advising on western tactics and firearm. He was given his Katana as a gift when he joined the Shoguns cavalry. But civil unrest was growing in japan and in the late 1860 it turned in to a Civil war with the Emperor siding against the Tokugawa shogunate. In 1868 it was clear that the Shogunate would soon fall and that he was on the loosing side of this war. After a fierce battle he and his troops become trapped in a box canyon to save them he used a mystical artifact to teleport him as his troops to safety, but they ended up in Felarya.

Weapons of Choice: Custom made 45cal bladed revolver and custom made Katana sword.

Powers: None

Oka and Jay and a few other traveled to Felarya after Jay tried to use a magic artifact to escape pursuit. But instead of sending them where he wanted, They found themselves in Felarya and are now trying to find a way back to their own world.....

OK 2 characters and there core plot what do you guys think?

First of all, Felarya doesn't even have Onis. You might want to expand on that a bit

Bios need food badly in the form of more information and detail.

The characters are nice and original, but I agree with sean in that they need more detail and background information. If you want, you can send your ideas to me before you post them, and I'll proofread em for you.

I like the ideas. We seem to put far too many restrictions on characters and that can take the fun out of things. I see nothing wrong with a one of a kind character. It's not like Felarya is going to be flooded by Onis.

This makes me think about Tengus who might be the perfect mate for Harpies. I won't suggest anyone making a Tengu character, however. They just came to mind when reading Dragonjaj's ideas.

I am going to add 3-6 more characters to the cast for a more divers group other character ideas are

Twin Jaun shi (hoping vampiers from china)

Japanese White naga Shogunja (Shogunjas are a japanese croos betwine a clearc and a wisard)

Zombie girl (from russia)

Tao pristess from china (tao magic not used a nuf any where)

Licanthrop (fron england mores)

Dragoon rifleman (from frace)

It will be interesting to see how these characters manage in Felarya. I hope you bring enough to spare because many will probably not survive, as I'm sure you know.

I have 30 - 35 cavalry troops as foder and 3 if used are all ready dead plus licanthrops can only die by silver weapons or a nother of thener race

For the troops, don't have them picked off so easily. 30 or 40 armed men on horseback aren't exactly "fodder."

LOL i know but all orders have to be traslated there commander is from the usa and the troops are japanese so there will be a little order lag that will cost lives also in 1866 on the japanese where adopting western tactics the cavalry mostly had western stile uniforms and rifles not the tradisnle armor and spear

Names: Xing Sun-Shu & Xing Xu-Fa

Race: Human undead (Jiang Shi)

Age: unknown

Height: both 5’9”

Weight: 98lb each

Measurements: both B38" W26" H38"

Looks: Both wear traditional Chinese Taoist marshal art clothes and hats that match but are different colors. Sun-Shu hears white with red trim. As her sister Xu-Fa wears black with gold trim. Sun-Shu wears her hair in two dual buns with braided loops. Xu-Fa wears her hair in two low ponytails. Both have blue skin and black hair and brown eyes.

Background: Both of them are Chinese maidens from the Tang dynasty do to their size the sisters were chosen to be eternal guards in a Taoist temple in the year 641 CE. (cant find the English timeline for the year but its definitely long ago even to the story time line) Taoist priests poisoned them then transformed them in Jiang Shi. They where then bound to sever as the temples eternal guardians by the placements of talismans on there foreheads. As time passed and the rulers changed the temple was abandoned along with its 2 gardenias. Then in March of 1866 Jay stumbled upon the lost temple and was attacked by the gardenias in the struggles a stray bullet destroyed one of the talismans, this freed Sun-Shu from the guardian trance. She then helped subdue her twin and removed her talisman. As thanks the the twin sister joined Jay for his adventures.

Weapons of choice: both use twin fist weapons. Sun-Shu uses twin seven blade long blade claws / Xu-Fa uses twin wide blade punch blades.

Powers: Drain life force (chi), seance life forces.


Name: Japanese cavalry solders (this is for the miner multiple troop profile)

Looks: Most are in western stile uniforms that are a dark blueish black color with gold trim. The junior officer have tassels on there shoulders.

Background: Jay was assigned command of these men to help modernise the Japanese cavalry. (these are not main character and don't need large backgrounds also i don't want to right 30 some background for guy that are going to die us by stories end there will be none left)

Weapons of Choice: Spencer repeating rifles & Smith & Wesson Army No 2 (both are historically accurate to use withing Japans armies at the time)

Race: Lamina Giant Scorpisaïs (or scorpion folk / scorpniods as id call them)

Looks: Mid-langth brown hair, pink eyes, dark brown skin, red and gold exsoskelton, white tatoo covering theboth breats and left shoulder, her body also has dovens of scars.

Background: Felarya native lives in Lamina mountains. She took over her taratory by killing another of her kind for it. she savies on what ever she can git her hands on. She has had a hard life in Laimna and has no friends even eat her younger sister after leaving there mother.

Weapons of Choice: claws, stinger, magic shimatar that chaenles wielders power.

Looks: Black hair in a top not brown eyes. He wears green armor with white under trim and blue leggings and white headband with green metal plate with his family crest in gold on it.

Background: Met Jay when he joined the Imperial army and being one of the only guy that spoke English, albeit badly mangled. (think chinatown vendor fresh of the boat) Jay and Toshi became like brothers vary fast and would often go drinking and carousing together, and be scolded for being out late together. They also would gable with each other once Tosji bet his wife and Jay fached that by beating Oka witch got them both a few lumps given both women where in the room, the game ended then there.

Race: White Naga (born in japan family from china)

Age: 45 looks late teens

Height & Length: human form 4'6" / Naga form head to ground when up right 6'9" over all length head to tip of tail 65'11" / Snake form 5'6" / Aggressive giant snake form 118'11"

Weight: Never tells

Measurements: Human and naga form B64" W34" H48" (no there is no typo that is her bust size she gits it from her mothers side)

Looks: Long silver hair in human and naga forms, all forms soft red eyes, she wheres a Miko robe in human and naga forms , her scales are white with black and red underbelly.

Background: She was borne in Japan her father was a Shogunja (Japanese mystic casts devine elemental spells) and her mother came to japan from china as a stowaway on a merchant ship. They met in small port town they fell in love and where soon married. Soon after Fugiko was born, but when she turned 10 the townspeople found out what her and her mother where and set there home on fire one night when her father was away. She escaped but her mother didn't. When her father hard of his wife's death and missing daughter grief stricken he took his own life, right as his daughter found him. Taking his Odafa and Wakashi, she started learning to be a shogunja like he was the hard way as she wondered. Some time later she took up residence in a abandoned house but the some one bought the farm it was on then tried to chase her out when the new owner failed to this he offer a award to slay her thing it a joke no one took it till Jay heard the owner in a tavern one night and took the job but in stead of slaying her, he asked her to become his vassal and work for him. Taken back by his kindness she accepted his offer. She also has fallen in love with him and shows this by offering her self to him regularly and calls him master........ But Jay dose not git why. (yeah a girl through her self at him multiple times in one day and he doesn't git that she likes him!!!!)

Weapons of Choice: Jumonji yar, and fathers Wakashi

Powers: Elemental magic and sutras, toxic venom (causes severe pain, vanes to blacken as it spreds, then vomiting blood, fallowed by parlacis and fianly death, taks 6 houres must be give anti-veum with in 4 houres to live.)

Race: Human undead (alfa Zombie)(retains seance of self.)

Age: Died 19

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 133lbs

Measurements: B33" W23" H32"

Looks: Black hair, pail blue eyes, pale green skin, wears a blue, red, white and pink gypsy outfit.

Background: Froze to death fleeing Napoleon's army in the winter of 1812. She awoke in the spring thaw under her mothers body. She did not under stand what happened to her but she new she had changed. She found her way to a gypsy camp where the old fortune teller told her what she had become and why people avoided her. She stayed with the camp as part of the show. Then solders came and chased the gypsies out of a town she fought with a solder biting his throat killing him then the solder jot back up and started attacking people crating more zombies. She cried stop in frighten panic and the zombies did. The stood still as if waiting for a command. The fortune teller then told her she had power over the zombie horde cause she crated them and its her burden to keep them from harming any one. Hearing this she grabbed a bardiche from a gypsy that had been killed by the solders then she set to the bloody deed. She then set of alone again. Years later she was found by Jay as she sat half buried in the snow. When he went to help her she said for him to leave her for she was one of the dead. He ignored her and lifted her up and set her in the wagon next to 2 others then continued on. The next night she asked him why. He answered "you don't need a reason to help some one. Even if they are one of the dead." she has traveled with him from then on.

Weapons of Choice: Bardiche (Russian heavy axe with a large clever like head.)

Powers: Increased strength, cant feel pain, heals by eating(hows that work?), crate and controls zombies (dose not work in Felarya)


Name: Holly wild

Race: Lycan (were-Big cat type unknown)

Age: 23

Height: Human and anthro forms 5'2", were form 19'9", beast form 23'7" nose to tail

Looks: Red hair Short in human form (fur matches hair), green eyes, skin white. In antro forms she gits cat like ears, large paws, her hair triples in length and a long tail with a tuft. Were form she has saber teeth, tiger like face larger hears, thick mane, 2nd set of breast, her paws git bigger and larger claws. Beast form she looks like a saber toothed big cat with a thick mane and fur that shines in light. she wears baggy clothes and short skirts. They ar often destoryed by her beast or were forms.

Background: She became a lycan after serving a assault by the Dark moor Beast on her 16th birth day. Her first transformation accrued one year later on her wedding night her new husband tried to kill her and chased her out of the house. The town was then up in arms trying to kill what they saw as a monster. She fled cross to Ireland and hid in a old castle taking a new maiden name and tossing her cross and wedding ring in to the sea. Some years later a drifter from the USA found her she transformed but in stead of being scared and running or shooting at her he clapped saying that's a interesting gift. He asked if shed like to travel with her. She gladly fallowed him not wanting to be alone anymore.

Weapons of Choice: fists or claws

Powers: increased strength based on form, fur in beast form becomes strong as steal but turn brittle when touched by water (not only applies to regular water), transformation 4 forms (human / anthro / were form / beast) can only be killed by silver weapons or ammo, or another lycan.

Race: human dragoon

Age: 31

Looks: blond hair, white skin, one blue eye, wear her left eye should be is her dragoon spiret and a scar from when she lost her real eye, Her dragoon spiret is a swarle of red and white that will glow from time to time. She wears dark browen clothes that are considered more for men and patch over her dragoon spiret.

Background: SHe bound her breast to join the french army. She severd undetecked tell cannon acsadint took her left eye and the docter found out she was a girl she was discharged from the army after a year in prison for inperanating a solder. She got her dragoon spiret from a travleing merchent and used it as a glass eye not knowing what it was. She leared of its power 2 yeras later when a man tried to rap her and in self defance she trasformed causeing the man to shit him self and ran for his life. After that she baught a pistole and rifle from the millatry surplus and started learing to master her new power alowen in the farest. She in time unlocked the full power of her dragoon eye, as she called it. She learned what it was from a nother dragoon she meat randomly in the nearbl markit one dayand there spirets reacted to each other.

Weapons of Choice: Minié rifle and Lefaucheux M1858 revolver

Powers: Dragoon form, Dragoon magic and attack power increment. After use of her dragoon powers she becomes exhausted and must rest.

Dragoons were light cavalry back some hundred to two hundred years ago, I know that sometimes the similar names have confused oriental game designers in the past. Though to be honest, most people in Felarya have generally tried to shy away from adding dragons to Felarya, but that doesn't mean there aren't any, though compared to what is there they aren't all that "bad ass".

the naga is not native. i dont think i ever said the scorpion shap shifts. And the dragoon is baced of the dragoons from the game legned of dragoon witch exsplans a dragoon spiret is a the cristalised power of the dragon that is created at the moment of its death in the skull betwin its eyes in side its brain. Alright, well just understand thatl using the term "naga" like that though will confuse other people though, naga's are already a well established race in Felarya and inserting a completely different race of nagas will only cause confusion. Also when you said Lamina, thats what got me confused, they have been used, but they are often tauric shape-shifters, that's why I figured she could.

As for the the dragoon bit, its honestly best to shy away from material distinctly from other copywrited worlds like video games. I like the Guyver series, but I honestly should not add a a guyver unit onto a character as mixing the genres probably not a good idea. Also it looks like I was right, it was a game designer who couldn't use a thesaurus when naming things, sadly shoddy writing on their part. Still that sounds like like a human using a magic item and not a sub-species. Not that some people don't do it, I just don't recommend it.

Its more like a living itome that bounds with the user and there are savral tips theres the chines naga from the story white snake witch inspiered mine, theres the indean naga thats a snake with a human face, then theres the yan-ti wich are anthor snakes that have humanoid faces and and arms and 3 fingers hand and scales over there whole body. There is not just one type and in felarya is open to the billyens of other worlds witch lets races of other kinds in.

Okay, please understand I am not trying to tell you what you can or can not do, I am just trying to help you make your characters fit in better is all. There are nagas in Indian mythological depictions from ancient times that had human upper bodies carved into stone walls. Now Lamina from Greek mythology some times was depicted as having a snake tail. Another one is from Celtic mythology, the melusine is has a snake lower body very much like the ones depicted in Felarya, though some times they have a split tail end and or wings. Yan-ti are from D&D and were written in 1981.

Just understand you can make what you want of course, I was just trying to help the characters fit into the world a bit better is all.

I under stand but the chearicters are not why there intended story died. The chaerichters worked it was my oun story skill that didint i lost the flow of the story i detached from the vison so it died. the chearicters still work fine i just lost the spark the story need to write it i wish i hadint but its not my frist to die befor it lived........ Aisan skin tone with dark red and black scale paches on her hands and for arms, feet and legs, shoulders, back of neck and checks. Long white hair tied in a large low bun. She has a small 3 inch hoin on her forhead and 2 larger hornes that curve back over her head. Grayish eyes. She whears a long hood black cloke with red trim and a crimson cresent moon on the back under that she whears a green tank top and deasert camo cargo shorts.

Tool/weapon: A vary large vary heavy hammer. (famly airloom)

Likes: Singing heavy drinking, smokeing her 3 foot long master crafted pipe and fresh young girls.

Dislikes: Ideots, disonesty, people that bug her as she works and people messing with her truck.

Powers: fire breathing, sfits forms, anchet magic and draconic imunitys

Qurks: Her work is epicly good but there is always a high price or catch to her deals

This is my new Rp/story caricter she plays the role of a 3rd party weapon smith that traves from world to wrold forgeing and selling Masterfuly crafted and exstremly power full weapons. But qualty comes at a price..... She will often barter for meals or resouses or for gold and gewls strate up. She always delivers what she says she will but not always in the way the custamer exspects. She has no love for the fools or idoets. She loves frash yung girls in more ways then one. She can be a short teampered a trait from her mother but she is normaly is calm and indifrent to guys but fairly forward with women the cuter or sexyer thay are the more so shell be.

Aside from looking painfully generic and awful grammar, there is barely anything that talks about her personality or backstory. For all its worth, it's parotting her "likes and disklikes." Let's go abilities. What exactly constitute "ancient magic?" The only way this could be more vague is just "magic." Describe what make this magic "ancient" and stick out from "modern" magic. In the same vein, Dragon Immunities also say nothing. There may be D&D players on the forum, but not all of us is. One of the first rules a writer should adhere to is to never, ever assume that your readers know what you are thinking.

Her "likes" and "dislikes" are abominably shallow and sound like a character someone would make up in one minute just to get in a crowd. Her appearance isn't all that important, but somehow, it still has the psychological effect of being incredibly generic. The part with the truck and "tool" sound like I'm watching a really bad cartoon, unless its goal isn't to be taken seriously. In this case, it misses the mark by a mile.

Overall, this character is horribly bland. I see nothing from her that really sticks out of the crowd other than superficial traits.

Ok Hammers update.

Ancent magic is the old laws from befor the time of man. The ancint art of of useing living souls, eleamentle encanting, and manipulating the envirement as well as travleing betwine planes. She leared this from her father that raised her.

Dragonic imuitys are imunto magic and toxic baced sleep, parlizest. as wel as fire, aiced. Her mother was a black dragon her father was a gray devine dragon, devines have a plasma breath weapon and imune to all eleaments but there children only have a 1 in 100 chance to inhiert that full power she got fire breath and imuity by her fathers blood line but inheartied her mothers acid imuinty as well. In dragon form she has 3 horns 4 eyes (her father would have 7) she has masive wings for her size and she has the black dragon spinle fin that runs down to a spiked tail.

And she is a bit showlo do to spending lot of time alone traving thow not egotisticle But will defind her repution as a smith. EZ way to git her to make you something if she is refuing is to "Say she cant do it!" shell then be driven to do it to prove you wrong. A habit she gits from her father (Farther eans a living as a mercaniery and makes a living off of his PMC doing what people say cant be done) thoe it is what leeds to her skill as a smith.

She will often reclaim her work when there ouner dies thoe she some times has to wait for the weapon to pass throgh a preditor or one of her draconic cusons. Witch can be acward convertion "High cus im here to git sword i made for that idoet you ate 3 hours ago. It come out yet?" she has a gift to hear and track the song of the weapon. (another thing her father taught her)

Raised by her father and a band of mercs its not a saprise shes a bisexule with a prefance tords girl. And also eats people (not something she got from her father.) Her skill with a hammer in battle and as a smith gave her the nicname Hammer. Its also easy her then calling her by her name Alexsandra Belladona Lunnaira Dracoies. (3/4 of that is her frist name, its a dragon thing) Her father is Jaycube Alexsander Draconies. (knowen as Lord Dragon by his friends and troops and eanmy) Her mother was Belladona Lunnairs Tisfulla.

The truck is her mobile home/store, it also lets her hold her stuff and have a soft bed to sleep in. Thoe her Hammer is this masive 250lbs 4 foot staff hammer is both her weapon and her crafting hammer in smithing. This Hammer has been in her famly for 10,000 years and was intrusted to her by her father when she exspred a wish to be a smithy. The simbles on the hammer repasent the 4 comman types of dragon breath weapon Fire, Lighting, Acid, and Frost. In the hands of a dragon this hammer grants its weilder the abilty to use all 4 types of breath weapon. (as long as she holds it)

She is not a naitive of felarya she came here knowing her skills would be in demandon sach a dangeris world and she could carge a premium as well. And not just to to the humans, elfs and neko or other races on the lowe end of the food chain. She can also make weapons and armor for the preditors like nagas, giantesses and driders as well given that they often have more to barter with sach as prisoners old weapons ores and other things colected from pray. Thoe more often then not she has to smoth talk her way off the menue do to spending most of her time human size. Thoe not always sucsseful she is always thankful her her mother had a acid brathe weapon and is alwaies paint anuff to wait to pass throgh if the pred is a girl. Thoe if she eaten by a male she finds it offinceive and goes dragon form in side the pred witch makes a messy exsit...... vary messy.
