Several Purely Magical Item Ideas

I decided that Felarya needs more magic, because magic is the best thing ever and people need to use it more.



Black Stone of the Nobody

A powerful artifact believed to have been created by the Nobody, one of the many merciless rogues allied with Csion the Excessively Angry. It is an icosahedral gem as black as the soul of its creator, and some of its dark aura always rubs off on its holder, making them just a little bit more soulless.

When thrown, its magical properties activate on impact. It creates a wide-open portal to the darkest, bleakest universe in all of existence, sucking in all those unlucky enough to be nearby. Once in this bleak world, the victims slowly lose their sanity, though it matters little since they cease to exist until they are literally erased from all time and space. After a short while, the portal closes, and the stone falls to the ground to be picked up for later use.

It is not known where this artifact now resides, as the Nobody is believed to have lost it at some point, but one thing is for certain: it is a terrible weapon that only a terrible person would use.


Magic Wand of the Archmage Eyecii Biemm

A wand crafted by a wise and powerful archmage on an ancient world long in the past. After the man’s death, the item changed hands many times before ending up lost on Felarya due to general negligence.

When used by a skilled magician, the wand releases a burst of energy that flies into the air. Once airborne, divides into many other bolts and showers the target with magical fury. Skilled mages can control the blast once it has divides, either targeting a single target or just raining hell on many.


Grand Magicannon

A powerful weapon feared by many, but was thankfully lost by its previous user when he was slain by Tangara the Fox in a random skirmish. It is a small stone barrel with a magical gem embedded in its bottom. When used, the barrel fires a condensed blast of pure magic that obliterates all in its path. It is so feared because, unlike a technological equivalent, the device isn’t held back by size and energy requirements, using its legendary gem to pull all of the energy it needs directly from the ambient magic of Felarya. Its only downside is that after prolonged use, an area may become temporarily devoid of magic, but considering the power of the device, one probably won’t need to use it that much.


Gloves of the Both

These gloves were once used by Animus Junkei the Both in both war and diplomacy, but were stolen by a bandit who was promptly killed by the Nobody’s Stone accidentally thrown by Aeyesu in place of one his own stones, losing the gloves to the blackness forever. Aeyesu was given the horrible torture of not being able to eat for five minutes as punishment to his carelessness.

When they still existed, these gloves channelled the magic in the air to create a stream of pure heat, capable of burning even the most nonflammable materials. Of course, not only did they reduce enemies to dust, but their searing heat also scorched through conflict and disagreement, resulting in a favorable compromise approved by both parties. Needless to say, their loss was the subject of great sorrow for Scion’s party, and great celebrations for the likes of Quriceksi the Pointy, a rival of Scion and his renegades


Pimpcane of the Warrior

Created by Csion the Excessively Angry for use by the Warrior of Three-thousand Names, this cane’s head is made of an amorphous solid mixed with the dust of stolen Ascarlin.

When the Warrior starts to lay down some sick rhymes and beats, yo, the solid reacts to the ancient incantation and takes the shape and consistency of whatever the Warrior needs. For example, if he is in need of a chainsaw, all Warrior needs to do is incant the ancient slam poetry with the image of the item on his mind, and the substance instantly becomes a chainsaw for ripping through enemies. The cane can take the shape of anything from a knife, a magic gun, a hammer, or simply a toothpick.


Portable Stones of the Rotund

Modeled after some sort of capsule used in some silly Japanese RPG enjoyed by many in another existence, these red and white stones actually have an enchantment to them. Once thrown, they use the magic in the air to home in the magical field of the target, then accelerate for maximum carnage on impact. Once the deed is done, they are charmed to return to their owner, Aeyesu the Rotund, quickly and directly.

While deadly, there is no record of them being able to capture other beings for the Rotund one’s personal use.

I support this 100% and all who would criticize this must have terrible taste.

The Dreaded Magical Cane of the Excessively Angry Rogue

Truly one of the most powerful magical artifacts in use in Felarya today, the cane is a sinister blackstone color and is much more powerful than its younger urban counterpart, the Pimpcane of the Warrior. One who goes up against this cane had better be prepared for a grand battle of absurd, canon-defying proportions. Inside is a core made of a highly potent magical conductor that is always absorbing the magic in the air around it and storing it like some sort of battery. Not only that, but located inside the top of the cane is an extremely rare magical gem. This magical gem has the ability to take the rage of whoever holds it and convert it into pure energy, which is also stored in the core of the cane. Naturally, since the cane is wielded by none other than Csion the Excessively Angry himself, the gem always has something to feed on. Usually, the cane is powerful, but when Csion’s anger reaches its peak, things can get dangerous. Anyone who makes the rogue angry can expect to be ravaged by the sheer amount of anger released, as it often has explosive effects.

When a less explosive battle is desired, the cane houses a deadly blade. The power of the blade is also fueled by the rage of its holder, and when rage is at its peak, it can cut through the most uncuttable stuff. If you wish to go up against this, then keep in mind that I WARNED YOU ABOUT THE CANE, MAN. I TOLD YOU, DOG! Only it won’t keep happening, because you’ll be dead. It is notable that the only ones capable of dueling the canesword are Quriceksi the Pointy, whose nose is the only blade that can parry it, and Stark, because he is just that manly.

The Green Coat of Unlimited Horrors

Worn by the Nobody, this coat is actually a power-suppressing artifact. If it were to ever be removed, the Nobody would take his true form: a large, monstrous cosmic horror with a ever-hungry black hole for a face, sucking all who get caught in its grip into the darkest universe in all of existence. The coat is needed so his allies, Csion and company, can approach him.

Apart from keeping him in a worldly form, the pockets are also enchanted. Whatever the Nobody desires will appear in the pockets, often without his knowledge. Items include things from orange Tic Tacs to bottles of water. Clearly the variety is staggering.


The Attractive Poleaxe of the Deceptively Handsome

A long, elegant poleaxe with quite the attractive shaft. No one knows its origin, but somehow, it ended up in the hands of Jayti the Excessively Handsome. Wielded with great dexterity, its blade has been enchanted to have unmatched cutting power. Only weapons like the The Dreaded Magical Cane of the Excessively Angry Rogue come close to its might, though the cane, in general power, is a much more dangerous artifact.

Not only is it able to cut through just about anything, but, like Jayti, it can change shape to better fit the situation. In peace, it may be short and portable, but when it comes time for battle, it takes its full size, but overall, it is an incredibly flexible weapon that has many forms.
