| Here is a thread for if you have the idea of a cool-sounding name, be it for an existing thing in Felarya, or something that could exist in the future ^^ Sometimes finding names can be a bit of a frustrating affair.. I sometimes use this site : http://www.seventhsanctum.com/index-name.php but it's not always satisfactory So if you have the idea of a name for a lost temple, a Volcano, a mysterious mineral or an ancient forgotten god or whatever, go for it | |

| I could give you some names I've written down on my workbook...
Etisar - anagram of Reşiţa, an industrial center in Romania Shin - 21st letter in Semitic alphabets, or Japanese for "new" Viaroac - anagran of Craiova, another industrial center of Romania Kazan - "cazan" is Romanian for "furnace" Kuril/Koril Thrayil Syr Venepol - portmanteau of "Venice" and "Constantinopol" Nurre Karatad Aderas Kurir Khalim Tarastal
I came up with them while working on Anteal. Coming up with a good name is hard for me, as I filled only one page in one or two years. Use these if you like. Also, http://www.behindthename.com/ is a good place for finding names and their meanings. After all names are supposed to have meaning.

| I usually just mash the keyboard, then add a few cool-sounding letters to it.
Examples:
Aweerin Yieoln Veijik Slwaio Wirijik Okeilia

| I'm not good with the names... which is why a third of Uno Team is referred to in my head by funny nicknames... and the Half I DO remember HAVE funny/Ironic names to begin with...
That being said... I'm not a big fan of using Fancy and Ancient Sounding Names... probably because I don't think up a lot of Fancy and Ancient things that would have language to name stuff with...

| A lot of my characters have puns for names.
Raison and D'etre Reason for Existance/Being/Etc *yes, D'etre isn't spelled right, I know* The surname of Nihil, yeah Memento Mori, the most ironic name in all of Felarya. Screw for his 'screwed up' personality Marian was named something because I truthfully wanted to inspire a sort of image of Mary for some reason that is totally not plot related at all and why are you looking at me that way?
I just stick to puns or unlikely names. Makes things fun.
