Eredor walked slowly as he observed his other companion meditating. He can sense mana surrounding her body. Good think he didn't need to meditate, as the sand is quite hot, and he needs to find something to loot. At last, Eredor found a treasure chest. His hair grew darker and darker until he discovered that it was a trap. His face remain quite emotionless, but one can see the anger subtly marking in his face, and also his hair grew whiter.

| "Not Again.." muttered Eredor as he began to discern his surroundings... It was dark, and rather cold. He then remembered the last place where he had been standing and teleported there.
After appearing in front of Gil, he lied down, being exhausted from the mana draining chest.

After appearing in front of Gil, he lied down, being exhausted from the mana draining chest. WOAG WOAH WOAH hold on. This isn't a roleplay between just you two. Calm down. There isn't a treasure chest lying on top of the sands of time. And you can't hop off without dying really...

(Lol this is exactly what i'm talking about. A good gauge on whether to continue with one or many people around the same area and is relevant is for events. If the two are near each and talking then just keep it at that, don't start events already until you get enough information from the DM and roleplay itself to start making "events" of your own (More importantly how the DM presents the journey) Otherwise talk long in conversation, don't go much into detail anywhere else until the DM clearly hints or states that you guys are now in your own little circles surrounding these events and the setting/flow of the rp itself.)

| OOC: This is going to be one of those RPs where, despite being on a forum, when a few people get on at the same time it just takes off, isn't it. Â Might I suggest that, if we're going to try for synchronous forum RPing, that we try and establish some times to do it, at the very least so the DM can be on?
IC: Ah. Â Company. Â Though even if her face weren't covered by goggles and a scarf, Rylee wouldn't have shown it, her interest was piqued. Â Lightly gripping the reins, she brought her sandwalker to a slow walk towards the general center of the rest of the group...though, judging by things, they seemed as much strangers to each other as they were to her. Â But what interesting strangers! Â One was a tall, blue-haired elf; by his dress, and the two daggers he bore, a thief or brigand of sorts. Â He was also the only one of the three who was of a race Rylee had encountered before. Â The second looked like someone had removed all the color from a small elf, only his red eyes standing out from his otherwise-monochrome features. Â Rylee's visor tagged him as a "Hissan," a race which had a rather small amount of data accumulated on. Â His staff caught her eye; while she didn't need her visor to tell her the design wasn't Vishmital, it still bore a small resemblance in form to a vishmitali, though, unless it was very cunningly made, it lacked the length of most instant spears.
The third stranger, though, was the most interesting.  Rylee was more than a little excited at the prospect of learning something new about the Hissan race, given how little data was currently known, but the blonde bunny girl was a completely new race!  There were three well-documented lapine humanoid races in the Vishmital databanks, but she was none of them.  Thanks to the girl's colorful, but not particularly well-covering clothes, Rylee's visor was getting a good skeletal scan, and judging by the preliminary scan results, its thirst for raw data wasn't going to want for a lack of information anytime soon.  If Rylee's face hadn't been hidden, even a non-Vishmital might have been able to spot the excitement in the twinkle of her brown eyes–a literal twinkle, at that, as her eye markings, normally barely visible to the untrained eye, pulsed a bit behind her visor.  Regardless of the tip that had brought her here bore fruit, following it had definitely given her a trove of new information, and she couldn't wait to get back to the nearby sensor picket and talk their ears off about it.

Roleplaying is slow paced and relaxed, not GO GO GO. It's fun when everyone's there and you can go for a while, but for now, let's establish an order, and continue from there.)

| (Here's your order on combat, having a fireside convo, like gamma said, is cool, but allow each person to react to each other before just rambling with posts. Lockheed X-17, Soroxas2, Gamma, SpectrumGirl. Also, here's a nice surroundings post.) The sun was amazingly hot, baring down upon the adventurers, soon to be well met. The sands of time shifting around you, dangerous and mysterious looking, all of it's mysteries stored within. Several cactus are in the distance. There's one that stands out as particularly small, though it's hard to tell from this distance. It's about a day's ride out on your birds, perhaps shade would be a welcome change. The cactus is in the correct direction of the temple, according to the direction the strange man gave you. "Head East for a two days ride on your birds.." he said, pointing in the direction you were meant to go. You would have to sleep on your birds, but hopefully their feathery backs would be comfortable enough. | |

| (Since I'm late to the party, I'll make Beryl late as well. Hope nobody freaks out. ) As the group of explorers gathered together, meeting one another and preparing to depart, one more figure approached from the same direction they had come from previously, a rather long figure at that. Slithering over the hot, dry sand, Beryl worked to catch up with the group she'd heard about from the same person who'd told the rest of them where to find the temple they were searching for. Beryl had been interested enough that she decided to tag along. Perhaps the group would have someone worth painting a portrait of? Or maybe the temple had an exotic guardian, a species of being she had never seen before? The thought excited her, and spurred her to slither as fast as she could. Luckily for her, the sand at the edge of the desert was not of the variety that sent people back in time, or she'd have been in quite some trouble. As she approached the group from the distance, she called out, not wanting them to set off without her. Surely their birds would carry them must faster than her tail would be able to catch up. "Hey! Heeeeeeeey!! You people! Wait for meeeeeee!" she shouted across the sand, waiving her right arm. Anyone who turned to see would set their eyes on a small naga, though quite large by human standards, standing eight feet head to sand, with a tail about twenty four feet in length (Yes, the bio is incorrect, I plan to revise it soon) and coloured with alternating blue and red bars. She currently wore a wide, tan poncho, and a wide-brimmed sombrero, both to shield her body from the harsh sun of the desert. | |

| Looking at the new arrival, Eredor cautiously embarks on the bird, hair turning light grey. He makes sure he won't shrink for a couple of hours, lest he might be eaten, or fall off the bird.. He looks at the naga who had been shouting earlier, and thinks on how would she ride the bird. He later looked at the surroundings, and was glad that he had been wearing white clothes. Still, he should have taken Comedy's hat.
(He is currently in a mercenary band with Comedy[A lataran Follower], Xy [A self-proclaimed demon hunter], Cannibal John [a cannibal converted to catholicism], Mako [a dark elf], and Felicity [a treasure hunting fairy])

| Gil draws Halora, his paralytic dagger. "Watch it! Nagas aren't exactly on my list of trustworthy races. If you're coming with us, you better have packed plenty of food because I have no intention of becoming yours." He sheathes Halora and takes a deep breath. "I'm sure you understand my jumpiness, right?" He looks out into the distance. "You'd think they'd have built that temple near an oasis or something." | |

| Rylee pulled on the reins, bringing her bird to a halt a handful of meters away from the strangers...including the new one. She wasn't the first small naga Rylee had seen, but they still weren't particularly common. Under the poncho she wore, Rylee could make out a shoulder bag of some sort that looked filled to the brim. Besides that, the poncho, and the hat, though, the naga was the most lightly dressed of the group. Rylee hoped, for the naga's sake, that she had brought more water than that bag looked capable of holding, though the elf didn't seem to share that sentiment, given how jumpy he was. Rylee's visor caught a sheen of some sort on the blade; almost certainly a venom of some sort, which supported her original guess that he was on the less-than-legal side of whatever law held over wherever he lived. If he did live somewhere when he wasn't searching the desert for temples alongside a group of complete strangers, which, if she had to guess, Rylee would say wasn't his favorite activity. She wasn't having that bad a time, though; this looked like it might get entertaining, and her visor was already happily humming along with an order of magnitude more data and new observations than Rylee could have looked at in real time, even if she was paying full attention to it and not the actual going-ons in her surroundings. | |

| Julie bows to the group, having finished her meditation.
"Hello, everyone. I am Julie Ultimus. The treasure I seek is not that of wealth, but of knowledge."
She was out here for a different reason than for the temple, though...

| Eredor looked at Julie. He didn't believe her much, since;
1. He was paranoid. 2. She was surrounded with space-warping powers that he was familiar with. 3. He was traumatized of rabbits as a young child. 4. Almost everybody here wants treasure, wealth mostly.
But since she didn't pose much of a threat, he didn't bother. Plus, he didn't trust anyone here as of yet. He flew farther away. He opened a small book, a rare signed copy of Talbeln Veridimus's "Theory of Heaven and Hell," reading it just to pass the time while waiting for his group to decide whether to leave or not.

| (...Oh! How did I not see that? DX Well, thank you! Although...If I'm supposed to be at the end, why'd you guys start posting before I got to post again? Or is that order just for combat?)
Beryl stopped in place as one of the people in the group pulled a dagger on her, holding her hands up in front of her shoulders with a nervous expression. She knew people tended to be wary of her kind, but that just seemed like a bit of a knee-jerk reaction, especially considering how super friendly-ly her approach had been. Fortunately, it turned out he was only warning/threatening her and not actually attacking just yet, and he put the knife away as quick as he'd brought it out, and seemed to calm down.
Beryl let out a sigh of relief before speaking. "No no, yeah, I totally get it. Family men don't like nagas. I know aaall about that," she said sincerely, not wanting to start any fights. She let her hands fall the sides, her left hand coming to rest on her big bag of art (and as of recently, food and water) supplies.
She looked over at Julie as she introdued herself. Beryl couldn't help thinking about how cute she looked, with her floppy ears, blonde hair, and colourful clothes. She made a mental note to ask her if she could paint her portrait later when the group got a chance to rest - she couldn't do it now or she'd hold everyone up.
The next things that caught her eye were the large birds everyone else seemed to be riding. In her rush to catch up, she had not received one from the vendor who'd been renting them out, and even if she had, it probably wouldn't have been able to support all her weight. "So what's with all the birds?" she asked, ignorant of the dangers particular to Akaptor.
