Well, I didn't mean it so much offensive in that way. And I don't really see a market for neko tails. O.o

It would be more just pretty racially offensive... dressing up as another race for the lulz.

Is a souvenir really a toy? Maybe it would belong at a different store. Although, if you can figure out some way of playing with it, that'd be helpful

Anyone suggest board games yet? Like Dungeons & Nagas or something. How about Pin the Tail on the Centaur or a Pinata (did I spell that right) shaped like a Harpy?

I'd probably sell a young adventurer's kit with play maps and toy weapons.

Nya, there could be a board game based on that temple Anko doesn't guard, whatever it's called (sorry, I'm too lazy to check the Wiki right now, please forgive me). It could be like "Snakes and Ladders", and if you hit too many snakes, you get eaten by Anko. XD

what about just a mouth? something you can attach to the backside of someone's door, and when they turn to look at it it looks like a moving mouth trying to eat them. terrible joke and all, but hearing that scream would be priceless for some people XD

Okay, I think we have enough toy ideas, and we can come up with more anytime. Now, how about the store's elderly, eccentric owner? I actually came up with this idea after watching Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, so I thought he could be something like that. Do you think that would work? What should he look like? Does he trust young people more than adults? Give me your thoughts.

I've never seen that movie so I don't know what you're envisioning. All that I can suggest (without feeling like I'm shamelessly self promoting) is making the owner an Elf from Iracal Island. The city he grew up in, Atomata, is teeming with artificial life, aka constructs. Contructs serve the people, entertain the people, and even defend the people. It's a place where rodent control is handled by constructs the shape and size of insects, or cats. If you can imagine a place where the emphasis of art and engineering is THE defining trait of the people, that would give you an idea of how good of a toymaker this elf could be.

It's just an idea. As far as I know, construct makers aren't very common (and I hope I'm not going overboard by having a city full of them). As for his trust of young vs adult people, well, that might be best worked out in a story.

I know that film, saveing privet ryan is better tho...

Hopefully your shop owner won't turn out like Merlin in "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders" and start giving out cursed, evil toys to children and such.
