| I once knew a guy that got the idea to just go and eat a fairy before it has a chance to grow, or shrink you. His plan worked perfectly. Except that, he forgot human stomachs don't have the magic-nullifying properties of most predators, so the fairy started growing inside him, and, well... It made a heck of a mess, I'll say that much. | |

| There are rumors that a recent top-seller in Negav has been imported from another world, the author claiming its substance to be his own. Unfortunately, said author is no longer available for questioning due to a mob of angry literary and mythological critics murdering the man for "a travesty against literature". A movie has recently been announced for said book. | |

| Hey? You guys heard of the Silver Tower? I heard that a long time ago, a woman committed suicide by hanging herself in the door way. It's said once a year you can see her body all strung up.
I also heard that once a year, in Negav, a strange tree will start producing all these weird fruits rapidly. Sweet fruits, bitter fruits, minty fruits... you name it!

| It's said that adventurers venturing into luminous hallows can use flashlights to attract packs of Moseuras. Who surprisingly enough make very good traveling companions, as long as you give them something in exchange such as food they'll even act as guides, sometimes even using their light based magic to ward off attacks of the group! | |

| "Hey, you know Joey?" "Joey, Joey... oh, that funny-talking merc with the shades who orders rainwater like a pussy?" "Yeah. Well, look he's no pussy... don't know where he comes from, but wherever he's from they must be some nasty motherfuckers. He's survived over fifteen trips, he's a million times tougher than he looks." "Well, what about him?" "The other day, I saw this guy... he came into the tavern, chatted a little with the bartender, seemed taken aback by the answer. He carried some weird steel armor with black clothes, I wouldn't be caught dead in that, it didn't cover half his body, looked like it was made for his mother, or by his mother, or both. He was medium size, well muscled, and... his skin was paper white, strangest of all. Well, he started looking out loud for mercs, and Joey... well, he's usually a tough guy, but he came up to the guy and acted shy and cordial like a schoolgirl, looking for a job. The guy only had half a ruby to offer... and yet, Joey took up the job." "Why'd he do that?" "Well, that man looked like he knew what he was doing. That can have an effect sometimes." "Yep..." | |

| -A man in a chicken suit has been terrorizing the fairy kingdom recently. Or so I've heard.
-This just in: it has been finally confirmed that fairies' powers are somehow related to their wings! Even the slightest harm to these fragile appendages will cause the fairy severe inconvenience, and most likely it will run away! Of course, if you find them at giant size, you won't want to take any chances... they're just as bad as giantesses at that point, wings or no wings.
-Trying to kill a predator with a firearm? A hint: don't. The natural laws in Felarya state that predators are around human-sized, only at a different scale, and most of a high-end firearm's power is contained in the speed of the bullet. Now, since distances are smaller for them, but the bullet travels at the same speed, that means your bullet is traveling a smaller distance in the same time, or, simply put, that your bullet is slower. Even an anti-material rifle bullet, at 3.000 feet per second, would hit, for instance, Crisis, the way it would hit you if it were moving at 150 feet per second... AND were eight thousand times smaller. Therefore, your weapon packs as much punch to a predator as it would pack to you at the inverse of the predator's scale... to the fifth power, due to both mass and speed adjustments!
Even if you've got a tank gun (38.7 megajoules) you'd do well not to bother. And even then, count on just having made it angrier. Crisis herself, for instance, would take that shot like you'd take one from a gun that carried barely above 12 joules. A 9mm, for instance, has a muzzle energy of 522 joules. So... like we said, don't.
A proportional muzzle energy of 522 joules would be what the tank gun carried to a predator with a maximum modifier of [(38.7x10^6)/522]^(1/5) or the fifth root of 74138. Assuming they were around five foot six at human scale, somewhere after 50 feet, weapons become futile (much sooner for nagas since they're measured differently).
[If Felarya were an exact science... *shudders*]
-It's rumoured that a drunk guy has been overthinking Felarya in taverns all around the world. He put everyone to sleep with his ramblings and then robbed them.

| It seems like that a private explorers guild of Nergav is suffering tremendous economical problems and going for bankrupt. Speculative bubble?
Seems not. They simply drowned in debts for manteinance and contemporarily they ran out of useful employees due to: obvious vore causes, passion for expensive artifacts, assassination, founded religion, agoraphobia, pain in the ass and uselessness of their last-found race.

| Defying all reason, an internet connection is completely incapable of going through a portal to Felarya. There has been no reason found to explain this. All the parts that make up the internet (computers, modems, servers...) can be transported through, but a cable connecting a computer in Felarya to the internet on Earth won't transfer any infomation at all for no apparent reason. Something less unexplainable: some computers suffer from corrupted harddrives upon going through a portal. | |

| Pa'ul Banyennes
Myth tells of a civilization of giants known as Pa'ul Banyennes that attempted to tame the Green Hell in the north. The typical Pa'ul Banyenne man stood at a hundred feet, had a large, burly stature, and was depicted with a rugged beard. They had some knowledge of metalsmithing, as their main tool and weapon was a giant axe, and they seemed to be knowledgeable of textiles, as they commonly wore suspenders, flannel shirts and leather boots. They managed to domesticate several giant creatures for wool, food and labor.
Pa'ul Banyennes were known for their lifestyle of using the forest around them extensively for lumber, felling immense Felaryan trees to create their massive log cabin lodgings and fortifications; they were known to be ravenous after a day's work, their appetites being nearly insatiable. They were seen as disgusting by elves, as their appearance was rough, gritty, and they didn't live in peace with their environment, instead imposing on it. They were terrifying to dryads, as they would just as soon fell them along with the other trees should they be a nuisance, or else given no other choice, to produce something in exchange for their safety. This substance was syrup, which the giant lumberjacks highly valued. Many dryads were threatened, forced to uproot themselves or give their offering collected from a spout embedded in their trunk.
Over the course of their history, Pa'ul Banyennes spread out, were pushed back and almost annihilated, but would always stubbornly persist in that remarkably dangerous wilderness. For their tenacity they were regarded with at least a certain amount of respect by other races. Finally, only a few hundred years ago, the last Pa'ul Banyenne camp was said to have been wiped out by a 'walking forest'- a large gathering of uprooted dryads. Thick timber clashed with heavy blade, and in the end the ground was soaked with spilled blood and sap.
To this day, legend tells that one last Pa'ul Banyenne remains, stronger and larger than any other, who drinks lakes dry, rends land asunder and can fell any tree with but a swing- a sort of boogeyman among dryads.
Other accounts say that when the trees made their stand and they were outnumbered, the giants finally just gave up and moved to another forest and can still be found elsewhere.

| A very odd rumor has been spreading around certain parts of felarya regarding the lengendary hydra naga, and that far far up in the green hell they are actually MORE plentiful, as much so as nagas are in the lower regions. And they themselves believe regular nagas to be nothing but myths.
"I heard that far away from here there are nagas with only ONE BODY"
"Really? thats digusting! only one?"
"I know I know and they're apparently very tiny and weird looking."
"how strange..."
"It must just be a silly rumor, why next they'll be saying dridders have only one head"

| I heard (from an unreliable source) that if one could find the precise location that is the precise half way point between the summit of Frost Peak and the summit of Mount Vlykren, one could dig down and find an artifact of immense power. Problemt is, this location is somewhere in the middle of the Great Marshes and probably underwater. And surrounded by voracious monsters. Good luck. | |

| There is rumored to be a minor, almost secretive religion in Negav, one that believes all of Felarya exists inside the belly of some gargantuan beast. The beast has such a slow digestive system that it takes countless millennia for it to process a single meal, thus allowing life to survive inside of it for a time. The worshippers say the beasts own magic is what explains all the quirks in Felarya’s physics. The worshipers also say that the beasts name is Sheila and she is quite nice once you get to know her.
There is another rumor, a bed time story the tinys tell to their kin, that there was once a Neko mage so powerful she could make herself as big as a giantess, and a giantess as small as a Nerra. One day, this Neko met a Nerra and, as Nekos are prone to do, she grabbed her and prepared to eat her. Right before she could eat the Nerra though, a giant Naga snatched the Neko up for her own snack. Quickly, the Neko turned herself into a giant to escape the Naga’s clutches, and then she casted another spell to make the giant Naga shrink. Only, when she cast the shrink spell she missed, and hit the Nerra instead. The Nerra then quickly shrank out of sight, only to fall out of the sky a moment later as a giant to the giants! The Nerra then promptly ate the Neko mage, but ended up good friends with the Naga.
A Negav scientist, although he got his PHD in gynecology, once published a paper about how Felarya might exist in-between dimensions. He theorized that Felara existed contained with in an object that exists in another universe, for an example he used a snow globe. Meaning that the world could be destroyed if some careless person simply dropped that snow globe! He even theorized that the snow globe might exist inside Felarya itself! After publishing his theories, smashing snow globes became a capital offense in Negav.
It is rumored that the angel Markie keeps a very lovely snow globe on her nightstand, and she is very protective of it.

| It's said that at one point, the Queen of Darkness, Déméchrelle had what could be called a lover. He was an amazingly powerful mage, master of the dark arts and he served her with passion. He became her most trusted servant and the Queen felt, for the first time in aeons, love.
This illusion was shattered. The mage had only been placating Déméchrelle and using her for her power. He eventually betrayed her, having another lover. Déméchrelle was incredibly enraged. The mage believed he had learned how to deflect all of the Queen of Darknesses attacks. He was wrong, for the Queen of Darkness has a far deeper, blacker mind than any mortal could comprehend.
What exactly happened to him is unknown. All that is known is that the Queen of Darkness unloaded a horrifically powerful curse onto the mage.
The rumor continues that she transformed him a shadowfish and had him devour his other lover, before casting him out to the Evernight Forest. Though he could sense all the actions that he did and experienced everything in his new body, he was bound and had no control. His rage and pain flowed over into the monstrosity.
What is most frightening is that many say that he has managed to survive all this time, not falling prey to other predators, growing larger as the centuries passed. There are still tales of a truly monstrous creature that hunts in the area near the Tenebra Maze. Something truly hideous that stalks the gloom, cursed to an eternity of awful hunger.
Most of what's know about this is from a warrior who claimed to have fought and lived against this behemoth. The warrior claims to have actually gouged out one of the creature's eyes. Wether this is truth or a very exaggerated legend is not known.

| As powerful as Queen Nemyra is, there are almost no fairies even knows what she looks like. This is due to fact that she can changer her appearance to any type of fairy she like. There is a portrait of her palace however they also change as she does. It only shows what she looks like at that moment. There is a master portrait of Nemyra somewhere deep in her palace so she does not forget what she looks like. The Rumor is that it is not a Portrait but Mirror that only reverts her back to normal. Anyone else who looks at will gain a fraction of her power. That she can come to claim back. | |

| Along the border of Deeper Felarya, two cults engage in a constant battle of wits (and, sometimes, fists) over their philosophies. While they're not on the run from assorted Predators and Fauna, that is, or on the receiving end of a religious tribunal.
Both cults, The Order of Hidden Paradise and Blessed Guardians Beyond the Rim, believe that there is more to Felarya's afterlife than the public perceive. They feel that the Heaven and Hell that are run are not the "true" afterlife for Felarya, but a 'shop run by Extraplanar Beings to steal men's souls. Furthermore, they believe that the true afterlife - specifically, the Felaryan Heaven - is reachable (so far) through only one mean: The 'Dimensional Trappers' portal. To an outside observer, their philosophies (there are so many, many more) are pretty similar to each other... except for one minor detail.
Blessed Guardians Beyond the Rim insist that the Dimensional Trappers are not hungry predators, as many would argue, but instead "gatekeepers" to the paradise beyond. If of pure spirit and intent, they argue, or if already dead and having lived a "proper" life, they shall allow one to pass into the paradise 'world' / afterlife beyond - the lack of anyone returning from such portals obviously meaning they refuse re-entry to Felarya. Should one alive and not of pure spirit attempt entering the portal, they will consume you for your brashness and leave you to suffer a fate between worlds - forever destined to wander until your very essence expires.
Meanwhile, The Order of Hidden Paradise argues the Dimensional Trappers aren't even the cause of death those to enter the portals. They insist they solely remain between the portals to mask their presence from prying Angels and Demons, choosing Deeper Felarya not as a mean of keeping wanderers out but as to hide from their many servants and eyes the portals "they are so desperate to eradicate any sign of". To explain why it is then that most people who pass through the portals are believed dead / devoured, they claim that either Angels or Demons sentries who watch the old paths to the "true" afterlife catch such souls before they may reach their destination, instantly devouring them so as to prevent chaos should they reach even the partial afterlife.
Needless to say, beyond the two cults almost no religion on Felarya takes them seriously. If such were the case, wouldn't there be more Felaryans - in the very least more natives - who were at least similarly skeptical of the afterlife? The only support one may find is in the zeal many other religions / cults put into silencing / exterminating both groups, and to be fair to them would you not be angry if someone tried to argue your entire religion was a sham?

| It's legend time! Something for the dridders heh- thanks to Kaiman for helping bounce some ideas on this. Enjoy The Dridder Fates Stories tell that Sineria, Queen of the Dridders, was suspected of even having the power to change the fate of one’s destiny during her reign. The source of her power however, was not her own- but rather belonged to three of her closest attendants, otherwise known as the Fates. The three dridder sisters, Clothona, Lachema and Atropa, were incredibly powerful magi who served the Queen and acted as her advisers with their ability to each see into the future. It was often their counsel to whom the Queen would turn to in regards to what repercussions her actions may have. Where they learned such magic is a mystery, even to the Queen herself, and only together could they weave out a person’s destiny with their silvery silk and change it as they saw fit. Clothona, the Spinner, was the sister capable of identifying one’s fate and giving it form in her silk in the present; interrupting whatever fate may have had in store for them originally. Lachema, the Weaver, was capable of then adding her own silk onto the work Clothona began; shaping and choosing how one’s future would then play out. Finally Atropa, the Binder, completed the work of the first two- with her silk, she sealed their new destiny and ensured it would play out. With this magic at her side, Sineria held a great advantage in helping shape her kingdom and it is often wondered how her reign ever came to an end at all. Such power however has its limits, and not even the Fates are believed capable of altering one’s destiny entwined with beings as powerful as Guardians. The Fates had foreseen the fall of Sineria, and their own downfall as well if they had tried to interfere and aid their Queen. As the time drew closer to the moment they feared, they led the Queen on, keeping her unaware of what was to come- devising their own far reaching plans beyond what was bound to happen. When the moment finally came at hand they pursued the only path open to themselves- they fled and left their Queen, much to her ire; disappearing from the Guardian’s focus. It is believed they were successful and still live somewhere in the Dridder Forest in hiding- still dictating people’s lives and searching for their Queen again. The Seekers of Sineria are believed to be the main cause of information regarding the Fates and ultimately what happened to them. Some seekers even claim to have direct contact with them in an effort to recruit more into their search…whether they are to be believed is another story. There is even suspicion that the Fates are the real driving force behind the Seekers as well. Whether or not any of it is true is uncertain, but the lure of altering destiny itself is a sorely tempting offer to many on such a hostile world filled with incredible treasures. | |
