RP thread

Haru sighed at the pair. "Your reasons are your own Lily. If you do not wish to tell us, I am sufficient with that." He turned twords Numa. "And your help is kindly appreciated... although inside you may not be the best means of travel, I am truely sorry." He sat, his arm hanging in its sling as he looked up at the pale noon sky, finding it hard to believe that was a different sun from yesterday.

"But what they say is true.... that is why I've spent my time looking for someone else who can release me. That way, I can return to my own dimmension... free of spells and demons, and able to live a normal life again..." He trailed off, visions of his life before being cursed running through his head. Just why had that cat drawn him to the battlefield? Why had it chosen him of all people? It had cursed him to a live of eternal torment. It really was true then, curiosity killed the cat.

"And you should be less sour with us lily... we did just save your life." He said after snapping out of his short silence and looking twords her. "Without us you'd be a pile of wolf dung within the hour. and without us now, you'd be likely within something elses belly before long." Standing again, he patted himself off with his good arm, stretching slightly before wincing at the pain that shot through his left side.

Lily looked at Haru.

" Actually I beleive digestion takes about ten hours. As far as being sour, normally I don't assosiate with people."

Renee looked toward's Lily then at Haru.

"I'm sorry Haru, I risked our lives to save an unappreciative bitch."

Lily looked at her.

"Don't get me wrong. I am thankful you all saved me, I'm NOT a people person is all."

As Haru winced Renee looked at him.

"You okay? Is it your arm?"

Lily read the message from Numa.

" As long as we don't fall anywhere on your outside would probably work."

As Haru winced Renee looked at him.

Lily read the message from Numa.

" As long as we don't fall anywhere on your outside would probably work."

Numa bent and laid down in the clearing,positioning her hands and knees accordingly.She took u the vast majority of the clearing in this sprawled state.

Haru looked at Renee, nodding lightly. "Yes... but dont' worry, it will be healed within the day. This is the 'cost' of having that beast attatched to me... Whenever it sees fit, it causes me bodily harm, but since we are linked by a life-seal, if I were to die, he would as well. he always assists in the healing, but this makes it more sensetive andcan cause great agony during the final hours." He grimaced "It's his way of saying 'Do better or maybe I wont save your ass one day' " he sighed, looking twords Lily.

"You speak of not being a people person, on my home world there is a small town in a country known as 'Transelvenya' I have given my word as to not come within five hundred miles of this town as during an... episode, I actually maimed a large fraction of their villagers...." He hoped that he had said 'maimed' rather than 'killed'.... as it was impossible to 'kill' the undead.

Lily seemed to fly into the ari and land carefully on Numas shoulder blade. She turned to see Haru.

" Between giant wolves and an angry village. I'd slaughter the village."

Renee took a knee beside Numa.

"Go ahead Haru I'll boost you up. It'll be much safer than walking."

The air was still full of the smell of blood and the forest was still errie and quiet. The only real noise was conversation the group was having.

Numa waited for the pair to climb on. She then looked at Haru, and gave out a small growl.

Haru shook his head, bouncing on the balls of his feet slightly. "I may be injured..." He began running, leaping and flipping in mid air, hie syes seemingly closed as he held his blades, keeping them from flying out as he passed over Renee and landed on the side of Numa's shoulder, his eyes snapping open as he gripped into the large woman's skin, hauling himself up with his good arm and landing comfortably atop it.

"But I am far from helpless."

Numa got up. She wrote "Where are we going?"

Renee looked at haru.

" I didn't mean for you to feel like I was saying you were helpless. I was Just offering a hand."

Lily was watching what Numa wrote. She pondered for a moment and pointed.

"Renee and I were originally heading that way."

The direction was towards an eerie looking clouded area.

Numa shuddered, a vibration everyone felt, and crawled towards the spot Renee pointed out.

As they traveled into the trees the air fog started to grow thick and the air cold. Renee shuddered, as Lily continued to tend her injury. Eventually they came to a beach. Near the waer an abandoned campsite sat, inviting any to approach. There were bags, weapons, food but no people. The camp fire was burning low and the pot of food that was cooking was obviously burnt. Looking around Renee say no sings of life other than their own. She looked at evey one.

"What should we do?"

"Most of us anyway. Besides Numa look's cold so a good fire is in order."

The girls loweed themselves to the ground. Lily collected wood, trying not to strain her injury, as Renee created an area to put the fire in. An eerie feeling filled the cold air. Renee stopped her ears twitched. She slowly looked around. Her tail swished playfully as she listened. Other than her swishing tail, she stood perfectly still, she took a deep breath. Someone or something was watching her.

Numa didn't have this uneasy feeling-she had curled up into her carapace to conserve heat.

Before long a huge campfire was going. They kept it far enough away from the trees to avoid burning the forest and far enough from the water to avoid trouble. Renee once again found herself looking towards the camp.

"What do you suppose happened to them?"

Numa could feel the warmth of the fire. It was miniscule, barely enough to stop her giant form from being cold, but it was enough. She uncurled and shuffed between the two girls.

Renee looked around as they all sat by th fire. It was huge by human standards it was probably not very warm to Numa. Renee had an idea. she crept over to the tents and pulled them over to their campsite. Using her claws she sredded one into makeshift thread and started sewing a blanket.

"It won't be very big or warm when I'm done but it works."

Numa hadn't noticed this. She was too busy trying to warm herself on the fire.

It didn't take too long. Although Reneee wasn't the best tailor. She held it up.

"Here you go. It will probably only cover your shoulders or legs. I would suggest covering you legs. If your hands and feet are warm your boby gets warmer."

Numa followed Renee's suggestion. She gave Renee a 'small' kiss.

--Meanwhile, in the dense jungle foliage, not too far off.--

A young man sits up, letting out a quiet sigh and rubbing his eyes. He had successfully staved off another long day, in the harsh and unforgiving jungle terrain of Felarya. "Well, I'd better get a move on, sitting around for too long in the same place is just asking to be eaten, around here." He says quietly to himself, standing to his feet and treading on into the woods, not really having any idea where he's going.

After several minutes of walking, he comes upon a clearing, several kinds and sizes of tracks, as well as a trail of blood run down the middle of it, spiraling off into other parts of the woods. Cautiously walking out into the middle of it, he notices several corpses, those of humans, and even a few Kensha beasts, all of which seem brutally torn. "Jeez, I'm sure glad I wasn't around to see whatever made this mess." He thinks to himself.

A cool breeze blows through the clearing, as he reaches up with his right hand, running his fingers through his dark brown hair. Looking up into the quickly dimming orange sky, he notices a sleeping Dryad, her belly still a little plump.

"Wow, I've never really seen one of these this close up before..Without all of them trying to eat me. I'd better not stick around here.." He thinks, looking down at the sets of tracks, he notices that a few of them are human, and at his size too, not overlooking the huge tracks, that seem to lead the way. With the spacing, and distance of the tracks, he is able to deduce that it wasn't one giant chasing several normal sized creatures. He decides to follow them, being the only lead to a human, or at least non-hostile dwelling that he'd found during his entire stay here.

Following the tracks, as slowly and quietly as he can, they eventually lead to a beach, where he finds a deserted camp site, it appears as if the former occupants had just disappeared. Creepy, though not really surprising, especially compared to some of the things he'd seen during the last few days of being here.

As he approaches the site of the abandoned camp, he can hear distanat voices, though they don't sound like the thunderous voices of the giants he'd encountered before, he knew better than to just run up. Checking around the deserted dwelling, he finds several things of use, but decides to leave the be for the time being. Crouching down, he slowly peeks out from behind a large beached log, looking in the direction of the far off voices.

As he scans the area, he can see a Neko, several beings which appear to be humans, and a giant. "Finally, someone who's my size!" he thinks to himself, a joyful expression appearing on his face. Looking a bit closer, he notices that one of the "humans" appears to be carrying a large weapon with him, the other looks to be rather injured, or at least more so than the well-armed one, a bit of dried blood seeping through a leaf that was used to seal a rather large wound. Looking a few feet to the left, he notices a cat-girl. Nothing really surprising to him, as there were Nekomimi on his home planet as well. The thing that really startled him, was the giant, crouching down, obviously trying to warm herself by the fire. She clearly wasn't asleep, not yet at least, but she didn't seem to be bothering, or trying to eat the others, something he hadn't seen at all before.

Deciding that things were safe enough to reveal himself, he stands up, taking a few steps out from behind the washed up tree. "Um...Hello?" He says shyly, though loud enough for them to hear.

(OOC: Oh, and Malahite, if your characters don't hurry, they're going to get left behind.

Also, I'll post a description of my character once he's noticed.

EDIT: Oh, and just for continuity's sake, my character is a human, the neko in my avatar is a different character of mine.)

((Curse you for making have to start writing up a post again. Now, I need to come up with how four people from a realistic realm react to "Oh look, giant humanoid creature."

Yes, I plan on posting now. If I don't post by the end of today though, don't hold your breath.

Somehow the hungry giants had been routed, the pair fleeing from the others. Though it was no mystery as to what scared them off - the giant being the most likely candidate - the number of escaping beasts was. How had a pair armed with only melee weapons taken out something comparable to public transports in size? Let alone four, or toss one of them through the air? Gene-modifications were expensive and efficient, though this was well beyond even the best of trials provided.

The fact that neither of the two humans were running with the heat source literally right overtop them didn't help the feeling that things were wrong. All signs pointed to the source as biological, and along with gene-modifications the creature easily was too advanced to belong to the TA. No rebel system had yet to surpass the TA in the field of genetics either, so whatever it was could not have been man-made. But its size literally defied science to the best of their knowledge. Regardless of that though, they were standing within attack distance of it - something that was even more obvious as the creature reached out.

"Jer, what the heck's happening?"

"Spill it, Jergi."

"Report."

Jergit had to spend a moment to find the proper words before speaking up. "The big thing's just sitting there, not really moving. I think it tried to touch one of our friends from before. They're somehow both alive, and the things that had rushed in there are fleeing - those that remain, anyways. It lo- wait." The giant started to move some part of its body, resembling a human's arm with some added bulk beyond what even the enhanced size would provide, along the ground. It took only a few seconds to theorize what it was doing. "I think, I think it may be writing."

"Come again?" Christian said, looking from the clearing to where Jergit crouched. Him and Quara were truly in the dark when it came to these things. Paul could at least observe partially through his rifle's scope - specialist visionary settings coming to his aid, if cruder than the Magnoc's in Jergit's hands - but Quara and Christian lacked any mean to see through the dense foliage to what was happening.

"The thing looks like it's writing."[i] He repeated, Paul responding a moment later with a [i]"Seems that way," comment. Things still seemed like a joke, but now one of a much more cosmic nature than man-made one. All this time without contact, and then this. Jergit would have laughed if he would not have cried first at how his mind protested the possibility of all this happening. It had to be a dream, he thought. There was no way all this could actually be happening.

Then he watched as a new development presented itself, and that at least was something that couldn't be breaking too many pre-held concepts as it occurred.

"There's a survivor, at least one." A human-sized and appearing figure had rose from the ground slowly, a quick glance to Paul showing he had shifted his rifle to look for himself. Paul managed to get a glimpse for a few moments before the giant being placed some part of its body in the way and obscured his and Jergit's sight. Or crushed the person.

Christian and Quara did not enjoy being left out of much was occurring. It was obvious that something of interest was going on, but they could only get the barest of details. The fact that they were not moving in to the aid of the two - perhaps more - people who could get them back home was also not a thing they were happy about. When they could make out a tiny bit of movement across the clearing from them it was something to at least catch their interest.

For Paul and Jergit, it was something even bigger - literally. The thing had sprawled out among where the others were, whether it had crushed them or not still an unknown. Having a fuller glimpse as it occurred, Jergit thought he saw a specific part of a humanoid anatomy on the being. Then one of the humanoid figures from before went into the air, much higher than should have been possible naturally. There was no sign of jump-jets, and stealth boosters or equipment was unlikely on either the two who talked to them before or someone who had very good reason to use it to escape. He wanted to tell them about the figure flying into the air.

But then they'd likely take him as insane.

"What was that movement?" Asked Quara, the first of the two to voice her curiosity.

Paul responded before Jergit this time, letting the man continue with his more exact observations. "I believe our biggest guest took to ground." That was the best he could come up with, the closest rational explanation based off his hunting experiences. Not that this matched his prior experiences much, or at all.

Turning to face Quara when he spoke, Paul missed the second person leaping much more than should have been possible through the air.

That's it, I'm dreaming or I've gone insane. Jergit decided. Even assuming that at least one of the two figures who jumped was the gene-modded chap from before, there was no explanation whatsoever as to how the other could reach that height within their own powers.

EDIT: Still working on it, though now mostly done page 9.

Upon Hearing the voice Renee turned and her hand instinctively went to her sword. Loud enough to be a responce but not to alert anything too far off she responded.

"Hello?......Who's there?"
